You're an idiot if you think he doesnt.
Really necessary?

Joel, Kone, Alcaraz, and McGeady? Who's the idiot?

Eto'o? Played him out of position. Who's the idiot?

McCarthy and Lennon? Overrated. Who's the idiot?

I'll give him Lukaku and Deulofeu.

Besic looks good but always injured. Can't judge the others yet. Clearly not included the young buys.

Have I missed anybody?

So who's the idiot?

Learn some manners and don't call people names hiding behind a keyboard.

If you have a point to make, go ahead and explain how I am wrong above in your opinion..

I missed Barry. Been a good buy but hardly constitutes the Manager having an eye for a transfer.

Top post his misses far outweigh his hits. Most signings are bit part players including Deulofeu it seems.

You specificially said 'buy' so why are you including Free Agents? Both Eto'o and Alcaraz were fails yes, but free transfers.

McCarthy & Lennon overrated? Chatting wham. McCarthy was unreal in the first season and worth every penny of the £13m transfer fee. Our record with and without him speaks for itself. How can you consider Lennon are failure? You're opinion of being overrated is irrelevant to your point, you have to look at the cost and see how they contribute. Lennon last season and a few games this season has contributed enough to be worth the loan & £4.5m fee.

Joel is clearly our best goalkeeper right now.
Besic has proven he can be our long term central midfielder.
Brendan Galloway was a terrific purchase to go alongside Lukaku & Deulofeu and Funes Mori is seen as a success.

Successful signings; Lukaku, Deulofeu, Besic, McCarthy, Funes Mori, Galloway, Lennon, Joel

Unsuccessful: Kone, Alcaraz & McGeady.

Think if you count mate, theres more successful signings than there are unsuccessful.

Theres a lot you can criticise Roberto on, but he buys extremely well.

Firstly I didn't say buy. You may be referring to someone else. I don't care what anyone cost. I am comparing them to players in other teams. If you think that Joel and McCarthy for example on that basis are top buys then you'll enjoy mid table nothingness mate.

And I did say not talking about the young players.

I find so much wrong with the rest of your post I'll need to write a thesis in response.

We are 11th for a reason. Average footballers getting coached in an average fashion.

He spent £4m on Galloway lad, young or not he's spent decent money on the lad so you have to include him. He's played enough games for people to gauge how good he is. He's a success, simple.

'Dont include young players' the majority of his signings are 25 and younger, so how can you not include them?

They're far from average footballers. This crop of players shouldnt be in 11th place, they shouldnt.

Name me consistent starters of his signings. I count 3 at this point lukaku McCarthy and Barry. Everyone else bit part at best.
And I'll say the last two are replaceable in an instant. No wonder we are where we are when people are considering the likes of McCarthy as world beaters. Good average footballer who offers nothing going forward.

Forgot Cleverley above as well. More of the same. Typical Roberto mid table signing.

Joel, Kone, McCarthy, Cleverley, Lennon, Barry. I think we are lucky to have Lukaku, otherwise I would then take 11th place in a heartbeat mate.

I think this is part of the the problem. Why do you judge a Defensive Midfielder on his ability going forward? That is Martinez mentality. Also, who has said he's a world beater? He's a very good premier league player who we tend to do better with than without. I'm also of the belief that if we were to sell him we would recoup the transfer fee we paid for him, that tells me he's value for money.

Without getting into the if he is good in the market or not, the one statement you two talking about this should be focusing on is this...

There is only one place the failures for our squad can be. The manager says the buck stops with him, and he is to blame.

Not refs, not off side goals, not 7 minutes added on, they are excuses diverting what we should be focusing on. I have said it before if you aren't going to fix your short fallings in 10 years of management, you won't change.

That's why we are 11th and need not have people going on about the best squad in blah blah underachieving.

If we are depending on good honest defensive midfielders, of whom we have too many in the starting eleven may I add, then mid table is our lot.

I'm saying good squad player. Needs replacing if we want to be serious challengers.

Lukaku and Barkley, and to an extent this season Deulofeu, are making too many average or overrated around them look better.

But I do respect your opinion, and respectful manner of dialogue ;)
