Why does our place in the standings change what happened yesterday? It was a game we were by far the better side and it just didn't happen.

"It just didn't happen" is an excuse good sides can use for a blip. Everton failing to win at Goodison isn't a blip, it is the norm.
I'm sick of losing to sides who are worse than us, if Arsenal turn in a great performance at Goodison and out play us and beat us 0-2, then I will say well done Arsenal, you are further down the road than us, hopefully we will catch you up one day.
When teams like Norwich, West Ham, Swansea and Crystal Palace and now West Brom fancy their chances at Goodison I think it is time to take your head out of the sand and see there is something wrong. If you realise there is something wrong then make a change. If we keep getting beaten but think it has nothing to do with how we play, because we are the better team, then we change nothing and keep failing to win. I don't want Everton to be the best football team to finish 16/17 th. I want us to challenge for trophies, even if it is knockout competitions.

OK mate. That's your opinion. IMO we did more than enough to win and it just was one of those days.

We played well in a loss to a Pulis side who parked the bus. We still created chances after their fluke goal. Fume on.

Our home record is awful. But yesterday was not a bad performance...we played well and didn't get a result. It was far different than some of the dire games we've had. Anyway...go on and fume on.

The atmosphere is not helpful.

We played West brom mate, I'd expect nothing less than a good performance.

This is what we've become, justifying a performance

It's pathetic how much we've regressed in 18 months

But hold on, weren't you saying kist a week ago that the manager is learning to play a different way? Wherein lies the 'regression' there?

If you read the original post he wasn't just referring to yesterday's game, but a number of games at home this season. Apart from awful subs by Martinez, you are right you couldn't criticise the effort of the side yesterday, but that hasn't always been the case this season.

If we did more than enough to win..surely we'd win?

The players gave a good performance but Martinez let us down by not changing our set up until after the 80th minute. He also let us down by poor organisation on set pieces.
