Roberto Martinez discussion

The manager has an APPALLING home record.

4 home wins in 10 months.
4 points from last 6 home games against Leicester, Stoke, Spurs, Swansea, Newcastle and West Brom.
More goals conceded at home this season than ANY other team in Europe's top 5 leagues.

Absolutely damning stats.

Sick and tired of people with their silly 'you're just kneejerkers' shouts. It's not a knee jerk reaction when our form has been awful for MONTHS. 2013/14 was a blip, beginners luck when he still had most of Moyes infrastructure and methods in place and just added a bit of flair. Last season's 11th place finish and this season most probable 10th/11th place finish is the norm. Not good enough at all and cannot be justified.

Also sick and tired of the 'best squad for 20 years' shouts too. They blatantly are not. They're not even the best squad in the last 10 years.

We have 1 top quality goalscorer in Lukaku. We have a flair player in Deloufeu who occasionally excites (when he's in the mood). We have POTENTIALLY a top quality defender in Stones, whose form has dipped and whose motivation/concentration is questionable.

The rest are solid hands, a few above average Prem players who lack the consistency to be top 4 club players (Coleman, Lennon, Cleverley, Mirallas).

The remainder are players who should not even be at the club any more as they are finished - Howard, Osman, Kone for starters. In a year or two it will be Jags and Baines.

Some people need a reality check and to stop hiding behind spin.

4 home wins in 10 months - wow, just wow.

That should be sackable right there.

Embarrassing.

I know i'm stating the obvious but our home form is absolutely killing us, our performances/results away have been alright, you'd take that if we were getting the wins at Goodison, but 4 wins at Goodison in 10 months is simply baffling. Teams have a very simple plan when coming to Goodison, to sit back, soak up the pressure and hit us on the break, and when teams do this we simply don't have an answer. You would think by now Martinez would have developed some sort of a Plan B. Teams just don't fear coming to Goodison Park anymore.

Is it any wonder fans are getting frustrated and booing when home wins are so few and far between.

We need a manager who has more than one system. If we lose next week, which is a distinct possibility then we have to take a serious look at Martinez' record over the three years and make a decision based on the facts.
I can see Bournemouth sitting back and trying to Nick a goal. I am sure they don't think they can win the cup so a game plan which won't stretch them looks the best option and the worst option for us.
Hope I'm wrong and they come flying at us and we can pick them off.
A return for Howard is now a possibility.

I think we will win down in Bournemouth and win comfortably.

This run here though has the potential to get very nasty, very quickly.
