Bottom line : a very gifted (top 4?) Everton line-up has under-achieved massively. Martinez is a sham, a fake, a bullshitter. GET RID...for God's sake.
Spot on and unluckilly for him is that there are not many chairman around like we have that will be taken in by him.The best crack was people 'worrying' that he was going to get the Inter job - rumours that surfaced after three wins against Stoke, Newcastle and Carlisle.
This is the biggest job he will ever get.
thought I was in the Kenwright thread just then...
Out of curiosity, on what basis is this a top 4 squad?Bottom line : a very gifted (top 4?) Everton line-up has under-achieved massively. Martinez is a sham, a fake, a bullshitter. GET RID...for God's sake.
He kept the winning side as the starting 11, which people in get wanted him to do
We dominated, hit the post twice.
WBA offered nothing going forward. It's clear that Kone brings out the best in Lukaku. Anything coming into the Box was being snuffed out because A) WBA play 4 CBs, B) our wide boys offer nothing physical at the back post of crosses. Put as many wingers as you want on, they'll beat that first CB one on one but have nothing to aim at. That's why he brought Kone on. It was absolutely the right sub to make of all the options. Niasse would probably have been the one to come on had he been fit.
We got Tony Pulis'd as many teams have over the years. We played well. For one, I'm really enjoying the evolution of Coleman into this RB/ACM hybrid. The opponents just can't pick him up.
Hindsight is a beautiful thing but I think it's clear Pulis knew we'd go with the same 11. Perhaps Baines and Pienaar would have been a better option to try and unlock them but, again, we have very little to aim at in the CF position.
Against 3/4 CBs? As yesterday proved, there will only ever be one winner.Lukaku?

We're going round in circles on here. We win, he stays, people moan and people glorify him. We lose, he stays, people moan and people sugarcoat him.
This thread has absolutely no point whatsoever. We can't fire him so what use is it arguing over something we will NEVER have ANY control over?
