Tim Howard

I really, really hope Howard doesn't play, but I can honestly imaging Martinez selecting him.

To think the manager is willing to have the fans on the players' backs from the first minute just because he wants to play one of his mates, is appalling.
Bobby would argue it's nothing to do with 'mates'.
He'd most likely argue that Tim is our number one keeper and Joel is our number two regardless of form. He'd also say that whilst Joel has done brilliantly covering for Tim, it's Tim's experience in big games that he'll rely upon.

(not my view, but that's how Bobby would justify it)

Has anything been said either way from the club?
Big call this one, going into what should be a straight forward game. I expect either keeper to not have much to do in this one, but obviously the opponent shouldn't come into it when making the call, form and development are what counts on this one.
It's not a big call. One of your keepers has kept 3 clean sheets in a row, the other one has been rubbish all season. For anyone with 2 functioning eyes it's an easy call. For me, it's the beginning of the end for Martinez if he picks Howard and Stones for this game, as it shows he knows nothing about the defensive side of the game.

I'd honestly smile if Howard was named in the team but then slipped in the warm up, did a flip and landed on his immense ego.

Robles comes in to replace him and plays a blinder.

The fumin will be immense if Martinez dares play Howard.

RM has stated he has not decided as yet over Timmy and Stonesy coming stright back in , but they are fit!

It will be the same side as Stoke.

Who could he possibly drop? Not a chance he will change the keepers tomorrow, if he did then he would basically be saying to Joel that he is nowhere near as good as Howard or deserve a chance to prove himself.

"He's picked Howard again...I'm fuming here, proper incensed...how could you have picked him you Catalan Clown...FFs just go will yer...

...oh, it hasn't happened....erm..."

*stares at shoes*

He dropped Joel in exactly the same situation last year though.
He had a bit of an excuse last season. Howard wasn't quite as bad as this season, and Joel didn't look very assured in the games he played. Some of his positional play was suspect last year, but this season Howard has deteriorated and Joel seems to have progressed.

Howard and Stones are still injured according to the OS.

I'd be surprised if either one was on the bench tomorrow never mind starting.
