If we had a new stadium

I would feel like part of my soul had gone if we left goodison.
I know the arguments about revenue streams are there but I'm partly not convinced and partly deliberately not listening.

it'll probably have a two level name like 'microsoft arena' @ Walton Hall park. So everyone will probably just call it Walton park for short.

Having said that i'm really hoping our new american overlords can find us a nice brown field near the city centre, surely space up past costco down towards the docks. make amends for the kings dock debacle, would really be a statement of intent us pitching up IN THE CITY.

You can pretty much guarantee if it is a new stadium it'll be name rights and we will have something like IBM arena or something. I hope we rejuvenate Goodison. Nothing beats a traditional stadium. It just needs a major touch up

I'm having second thoughts about the whole thing.

Martin Tyler and Stuart Robson did the commentary on the West Ham match today and Robson said 'Upton Park has the best atmosphere
in England, along with Goodison Park.'

I fell in love with the place sixty odd years ago and I don't want go.

Modern Stadia doesnt mean 'Bowl'.
You can have a modern stadium with four clear stands (ala Goodison). Thats exactly what i want our potential new stadium to be. A Goodison 2.0 maybe, try and i wouldnt say copy, but take aspects of Goodison Park and modernise them. I think redeveloping will cost too much and take too long for our American Overlords to consider it.

I want to stay and redevelop,

but if we do have to go I won't be happy unless the address is;

The William Ralph Dean Stadium
New Goodison Park.
xxxxxxxxxx
Liverpool X

but who remembers were Ashgrove is in London... it'll be 'named' for cash

Things I'd like if the yanks took over and we moved:

Name: Should of been the Kings dock stadium

Beer: anything but Chang

Pillars: none
