only rounds out about 60 points or so mate adding draws and defeats. Not too far fetched to ask for when you have an international defense, top talents in midfield like ross and del, and a 20+ goal a season striker.

Hell with a lukaku up front you expect something more than just arms reach from united at this point. And 17 wins would pretty much have beat a lot of teams we have failed to beat since 2 years ago, which is another positive step for Martinez to make.

Oh and although it isnt a bye, bournemouth should be knocked out the cup so a decent draw (A.B.A) and possibly winning in the league and a 6th round tie is a good ending to the season in my eyes at a minimum.

I think thats the difference in making a top 5 side, we have all the flair and know how going forward - look at the goals we scored this season - we need to know that when we go 3-2 up with late goals we have to close the game out.

But don't think am preaching anything there people don't know. fine margins and all that - but i think we look at ourselves before the officials, in all them games mentioned am sure we could find reasons the ball should never have been near our box!

think the difference now mate is that we are shutting teams out. Granted newcastle were terrible and stoke had a bad game in that sense but the defence is holding out, right now no silly mistakes and longer it continues, the goals we are scoring, like on saturday, will win us more and more games.

Considering the only teams we need to fear now really are Leicester (didnt expect to say that haha) and Arsenal, that is a lot of games we can take this very small winning run into.

Totally agree - whether it has to do with Robles or McCarthy or a meeting they had behind closed doors i don't really care. We need to shut teams out because we look like we will score in most games.

We need to stop being everyones number one team for a Both teams to score bet lollollollol. Game management now, Ill happily win games 3-2, my heart might not take it - but if we are up 3-2 and defend with our lives ill be happy.

yeah mate, i agree.

Said it saturday, the stoke game was everything wrong with the season reversed in 90 minutes. good defending, beating a team we are better then and should be beating, taking chances clinically and our in form players (bar lukaku) all playing.

Agree. The only problem is the bar lukaku bit and the fact that we have no one else (proven)

He still scores when hes off form just doesnt terrorise defences as much

You can say the same with Mori, has been the better player, should start every game no matter who is fit. Obviously we don't know either way who is fit and who isn't but its a bit of a coincidence two players who have been costing us are suddenly injured.

I think coincidence is more likely than the other. It is as you said very disrespectful to Joel and Funes Mori. Also it's a bit strange that Del and Baines are dropped and don't get the same protection.

Litmus test in my eyes for Bobby is coming shortly. I can not stand the abuse he has let Howard get by not pulling him out of the firing line earlier. Howard has been a very fine servant for the guts of a decade - he did not deserve that. If he drops Joel, he has learned nothing. If he is not capable of learning, he is not capable of taking us to the next level.

In fairness to Bobby, when we play well, I think we are the best footballing side in the league. Nobody can claim to have done that since the late and very, very great Howard Kendall. Our attacking play has been superb at times this season. I appreciate that a lot when compared to the safety first crap we've had to deal with in the last couple of decades.

So if Bobby can learn, we should persevere with him.
