Looking on twitter the last couple of months I'd say a lot of our fans are obsessed with them too.

Why are West Ham fans obsessed with us on Twitter? More so that other clubs I mean. I understand they're jealous of greatness and our history and that.

Why do they think that injuring Payet is a highlight for us, when we couldn't care less? They're STILL going on about it, months after the incident, and the player has returned (after playing on of course).

Anyone?

I dunno, they're Everton-sessed.

11 pages long now this thread is.Goes to show that this is a two way obsession!As for the childish we won this and you haven't won that jibes.Every football club now matter how big or small.No matter how successful or unsuccessful has a special identity and a history of people who have bled blood sweat and tears for that club.Were Evertonians not Koppites were better than this childish pointing and laughing.

Byram was still in nappies and may well have yet to utter his first word the last time Everton won anything. The first time he kicked a ball Everton were relegation strugglers involved in last day great escapes and during his teenage years just another upper to mid-table side.

Yes - West Ham were worse for much of that time but now they're above Everton, nice shiny new ground which the chairman claims will be full all next season. If it were me it'd always be Everton but it's not - the sad truth is that to the neutral we are not a step up from West Ham.

If this topic was discussing Arsenal and Everton then i'd agree with that, but it's West Ham. Despite our lack of success in the past 20 years we've still been far superior to West Ham in just about every way. Saying they're now above us because they're potentially going to finish ahead of us for the first time in years is short sighted. Are Leicester suddenly a better option to achieve success than Man United and Chelsea?

I've got no issue with Byram choosing West Ham though after hearing the reasons. Sounds like he'll be first choice and has family who supports them too. I do think West Ham could be a club whose fortune is about to change with having the new stadium and London location. Don't begrudge them any success if they get it either as they seem a decent club with a good loyal fanbase.

We always manage to beat them when we don't deserve to as well and they're one of the only clubs I can think of where that happens so they're alright on that front too.

Our fans on twitter seem to have a grudge with every team. A lot of bitterness from us on there i've noticed.
