A 35 year old with miles on the clock being run past at times, and fading every second half. He's playing decent but reckon McCarthy next to Besic would see improvement in our results.
Yeh but Fabregas' strike was going no where near goal if not for a horrible deflection from Besic. Just bad luck.

McCarthy is injured, Cleverley coming back from one - just leaves either Osman or Gibson unless we play an academy lad.
McCarthy and Besic need to be blended in now for the future - not saying drop Barry , but have him for certain games or on the bench etc 3 games a week at his age is telling!

Not yesterday in particular, just the season as a whole. Usually when you're not winning games the manager mixes it up a bit to try and solve that.
Just think it might be worth doing that on the off chance we might find some form.

Perfectly put mate.
But we've had injury problems all season, Cleverley was out for ages, Mccarthy and Besic have had persistent issues too. Gibson is ironically probably the only one who was fit and could have stepped in recently but his FA cup display hardly screamed that he's the solution.
And solution that what, up until the past couple of games Barry has been one of our best performers each match, frequently MOTM - why would dropping him have improved our game? Especially as Jags and Baines were out so we'd have had very little experience on the pitch.

Just looking for answers as to why we've won 1 in 9... Wouldn't hurt to rotate him at least once at 35 years old. Who knows, maybe a Besic and McCarthy combination could work.

Barry has been one of our best players this season, yeah might of been at fault for one run yesterday but those saying McCarthy might make things better when we are fit are forgetting McCarthy was really poor this season from the start until he was injured. Few regular first team players have made less mistakes this season then Barry.

Don't need to look anywhere past the goalkeeper for our problems. Also McCarthy isn't as intelligent as Barry in covering the fullbavks or stones when they go galavanting. Barry by far the least of the issue
