Imagine a world where somebody picks Arouna Kone instead of Kevin Mirallas.

But truthfully, I rate Kevin a bit higher than his talent warrants at times, hes very inconsistent and a little moody, but when hes in the mood hes a real talent and has scored a decent volume of goals for us, some of them superb, within the current squad, theres nobody that should be picked ahead of him on the LW.

I think as someone said way earlier he doesn't play because he's a defensive liability and loses the ball twice as much as kone when you check the stats. his effort is variable and he's totally reckless. kone's pass completion is about 85% and does offer us an out ball. he's not great at holding up the ball but he's far better than our other options at that position.

We need more players that do unpredictable things, its how you break down teams that park the bus.

This 100%. I guarantee if kev had been a run in the team like kone he would have scored at least the same number of goals and assisted far more than kone has. Forget about kev's attitude, it has been a travesty that kone has been picked over him whilst kone has stunk the place out with his performances in the last dozen games. Who can blame him for sulking? Kev rightly got hammered for his actions in that WBA game last year, but that was one game and the lad has been hung out to dry because if it. In the meantime we have a goalkeeper who has made countless mistakes and is still picked and kones performances of late, yet he is still picked. Kev will be off this window and I'm certain not only our squad but our starting 11 will be the poorer for it.

If he doesn't get game time ahead of someone like Kone there's no use of keeping him here. Much rather see Kone move on though.
