Al Hasbi was considered the better keeper. A keeper capable of this is better than Robles.

I am pretty sure Robles took the shirt of Al Habsi and was number one Gk under martinez at wigan.

Al Hasbi was suffering from injury problems, but even if he did it's hardly any kind achievement being better than Al Hasbi Harry.

I was under the impression he was a decent GK. had the odd howler in him, but they all do.

I know a few Wigan fans I will ask them what they thought of him & Robles.

I dont rate Robles at all but i do think he should start for the next two cup match's. He's played In our whole cup run so far and derserves the chance to play in the semis and hopefully the final! It's also a good chance for Martínez to change the líne-up without losing face. Plus i think it would give everyone a break, we dont need that horrible poisonous atmosphere on Wednesday with so much at stake.

Doug that's so naughty , and unfair, as Robles had only Barry, and the rest of the side where 18 to 21 years old oh and you forgot to say later on when Tim was injured Robles kept three clean sheets on the run can you please tell the forum if Tim has ever done this in the last few years or ever in his Everton career Doug I keep on asking you but you do not answer I wonder why???????

Robles played internationally for Spain at U16, U17, U21 and U23 level, and was part of the squad that won the 2013 European Under-21 Championship.

Roberto signed Robles on loan in January 2013 as cover for Al-Habsi after Pollitt was injured at Bournemouth. He made four FA Cup appearances in Wigan's FA Cup run;

Replay Bournemouth 0 Wigan 1 Pollitt was replaced by Al-Habsi at half time
4R Macclesfield 0 Wigan 1 Robles made his first appearance for Wigan
5R Huddersfield 1 Wigan 4 Robles played in goal
QF Everton 0 Wigan 3 Robles played in goal
SF Millwall 0 Wigan 2 Al-Habsi played in goal, although it was not clear that he had fully recovered from his injury
F Manchester City 0 Wigan 1 Robles played in goal

As Al-Habsi was carrying an injury, Robles also made nine league appearances. So Al-Habsi and Robles never really came into direct competition for the goalkeeping position at Wigan.
