Tim Howard

Plus...

Aluko at the near post,

First goal away to Spurs last year,

BT ITS ALL OK COS HE IS DA SECRETARY OF DEFENSE LOLOLOL.

It's quite scary to watch all that. These are the obvious glaring mistakes and they don't even take into account all the countless times he dives away from shots early a la leicester away last year, rooney at goodison this season etc.

I am sure Doug and mick lions posters can defend all the goals above - Tim in his era has been a good servant, and paid well - never ever a world class keeper though able to play on into his mid 30 s - RM is at fault end of!

Worst Tim Howard game?

2-2 versus Leicester at Goodison last year,

2-3 versus Palace at Goodison last year,

1-2 versus Arsenal away this year,

2-3 versus Palace two years ago,

Surely there's been more? The individual errors are similarly endless,

Stoke the other night
Jumping whilst Gerrard took that free kick at Anfield
That mistake at Ewood Park a few years back
Not kicking it out at Old Trafford last year resulting in the Falcao goal
Starfish against City this year at Goodison
Starfish at Bournemouth
Ings header at Goodison

Starfish against Newcastle in Moyes' last season after previously letting the worst shot ever seen in football from Demba Ba go past him earlier in the game

Are you suggesting opposition teams are targeting a goalkeeper?

What ever next...

teams will target the weakest aspect of a team Ours is crosses into the box, because we have a keeper too weak and scared to put his body on the line. Same as teams target mertesacker and other slow centre backs' lack of pace, targetting poor full backs etc,

When he palms the ball away (poorly) there's 5 defenders in the box to 3 Stoke attackers, yet Galloway and Mori are no way near to closing the attacker down and getting a block in.

He's partly culpable for that goal but again others have switched off when the balls in our box and not done their jobs. That's before you look at how easy it was again to get a cross into out box.
always someone else's fault ;)

Those stats say he saved 1 shot yesterday and conceded 4 goals.

lollollollollollollollol

and that was an utter pea-roller from arnoutovic. He's obviously not to blame for every single goal that's a shot on target, but he doesn't make one good save ever!

people can use those stats of him saving a load of shots all they want, but none of them are good saves! They're not saves you wouldn't expect any other keeper to make. Just like the newcastle one.

Seen a few people say (including mr @GrandOldTeam himself on the twits) that swapping keeper won't completely sort out our current defensive woes.

And there's definitely some truth in that.

However, I've not seen anyone say that having a reliable keeper behind the defence breeds confidence and a quality keeper can help organise a defence.

None of which our current mr goalie can do.

exactimum, i'd least like to see what difference it would make

Our cup games could provide an indication.

Barnsley... *shudders*
