Because of their manager yes. Talent in the first 11? I don't see a huge collective difference. They have a better keeper I don't see any players to compare to Lukaku Barkley or Deulofeu never mind the two full backs. Kane is good but is not the same level as Lukaku for me. He's playing in a perfect system whereas Lukaku has scored for all the teams he's played for.

Regardless what our opinions are regarding them as individuals, they are undoubtedly a better collective unit. And yes of course they have a better manager, he's one of the best around

I don't think Martinez has the mentality for management at this level.

At Wigan, his faults were obvious, but they all wanted him to stay because he was the best they were going to get. They accepted everything that he did.

Here, things have been different. You can see that with Alcaraz. After he was released, you could see from Martinez's interviews that he wasn't happy with the decision, but he had no choice because he was so unpopular with the fans. If the fans had said nothing, Alcaraz would still be at this club, guaranteed.

It's a similar situation with Howard. Everyone can see he's like the single opened barrier in the flood defences of York. Yet Martinez doesn't know how to deal with fan pressure. He can't cope.

Assuming that we've made it there, or even won the thing when we have 180 mins v one of the top sides in Europe is jumping the gun slightly. Stoke and Leicester have put 7 past us at home and we've not won back to back for ages combined with Martinez never beating City with Everton. Let's praise people for actual achievements rather than potential ones.

Right now it's difficult to see how we'll go through but stranger things have happened in football I suppose.

I can see us absolutely battering them in the first half of the first leg, but it's how many goals we have to show for it and whether it can be maintained for 90 minutes...
