Honest to God. Any fan of any other club in this division would be utterly confused what the anger was about. Most media pundits cooing over our style of play the past few months would be too.

I suggest a bit of reflection is in order.

I think there's a few who have taken leave of their senses. Maybe they thought a CL place was really possible rather than a huge piss take?

Last winter, I began to think Martinez was a weak man and as the crisis deepened he looked physically ill. I believe that this infects players. Luckily for him,he is a weak man in the comfy zone AKA Everton where the Board will accept just about any level of poor performance.

There has been an improvement in performance (spoiled by poor mentality- see above) but so there bloody well should be given the players we have.

Far too many Tellytonians excusing his every imperfection and poor decision. I want the club to do well but, as things stand, I don't believe it will under his "guidance".

His squad and he's getting the best out of them because they are set up to attack. Get another manager in and see Deulofeu with his wings clipped and Lukaku chasing down balls in the channels. It'll all fall apart and the same whingers wanting the manager out now will be bemoaning the fact that we're playing hoofball.
Dave please please please, can you stop with this 'if you don't want Martinez, you want hoofball' argument please.

It's nonsense, not once has anyone said it and it's becoming a bad trait of yours Im afraid. You're using the worse case scenario without Martinez as a reason to keep Martinez.

Talk about what he can and can't do, no what a hypothetical new manager can't/couldn't do.

It's not as good as the 7th place trophy like, but we are still rebuilding.

Again we are not rebuilding. We haven't finished outside the top 10 since 2005-2006 before last season. The core of our team are young but very experienced of the PL. We are supposed to be building on a solid and consistent base, not rebuilding the whole platform.

For you, this is the Davek conversation. All about you and your psychopathic - like determination to be the "sensible" arbiter of all things Everton.
I"M the psycho for arguing for calmness and consistency? For setting achievable objectives and sticking to them? But others going from elation to despair after every game are the sane ones?

Oh. Ok.

Moyes was terrible with youth mate,

Not sure about that mate. Apart from Mustafi, can you name one youngster we let go (that we could realistically have kept, so rule out Rooney) that you regret us not keeping?

Banked us £20 million plus with Rodwell, big vic, and Vaughan. Blooded Rooney (yeah, obviously a no-brainer) got a decade of service from Osman and Hibbo, and will also have to take some credit for Stones. Coleman was pretty much a youngster too when we got him.

Don't care what net spend we have frankly Dave. All net spend does is show us how a manager works in the transfre market - for this i will give Martinez a lot of credit he can attract a very good quality of player for a lot cheaper than a lot of rival managers, howevere then we come to look at how they are used tactically, and those points he gained quickly are lost
...at the moment. You could have frozen the season at an earlier period to come to a different conclusion.

That's why a season long judgement is called for.

Dier?

Yes, ignore all the rest of the post because you know I am right.

Mid table, insipid, clueless, non productive football now for 15 months with the best squad we have had in years.
If Martinez wasn't here you wouldnt have your best squad.

It's a dilemma for you that I'd imagine.

you really a tiring antagonist aren't you? Never cede an inch in your unyielding support of some possible problem that requires inspection. I always thought there was a WUM aspect playing large cog to your wheel, please confirm that be the case. Your go-to straw man riposte to this will be "you're all anti-Martinez plotters" My counter riposte?...."no mate, we're actually just pro Everton".
