each post match interview he refers to the 'need to do better', 'learn from it' and 'stop making mistakes' but nothing has changed. its just been groundhog day. having watched the last 4 matches and travelled to norwich and bournemouth i can't believe the reality of the results. Earlier in the week i nervously joked that we would dominate the game today and lose as we can not capitalise when we are in control of the game.

Im sure roberto is as frustrated and fed up of the silly mistakes but unlike us, he is in control of the team. Please roberto change it.

If he's so fed up of mistakes and wants to learn and improve etc he should drop Howard. I just can't get my head around how he's still in the team.

Under Moyes we achieved these positions a few times but it was really only when we started playing in the new year. We usually achieved them positions with good runs after poor starts. What I am saying is we were out of any running for the top 4 by November, December each season rather than failing in the last half dozen games or so barring that one season early in his tenure. Our approach and ambition is now to get in the top 4 but at the moment we are a little short but at least we are attempting.

Undoubtedly, but most managers backed by £28m would have said yes. It wasn't so much astute management as a complete no-brainer, if the club backs you.
