His goal aside Mirallas has been utter plop for months now.

I will wait for you to retract your statement sir and ignore the contravening of the swear filter which one has duly reported.
Utter plop mate, he's had about 2 hrs play in the first team this season, give him 3 starts FFS.

Any talk of sacking him Is misguided, the school of science may well be back but the school of playing winning football has definitely left the building. Most Evertonians would be happy with a manager that stopped quoting the obvious in interviews but not acting on it and make some changes in the team that are blatantly obvious if it wasn't for his stubbornness.

Simple chief. 5th and 6ths when is was plain to see that was the best it could possibly get is simply staying cautious and steady. Attempting to progress the football and structure is the only chance we would get of breaking into the top 4. I would rather fail trying than not trying at all and just aim for a safe place.

There is no conflict when you try to achieve finishing 5th/6th and a top 4 finish. Attacking doesn't mean you will win more games. You won't win if you can't set up a defence.

Long time lurker. In fact very long lurker here (about 5 years) and finally decided to post albeit as some kind of outlet for my frustration! Regarding Martinez, there are so many positives that he has to offer us but his obvious neglect of defensive responsibility and more especially the need for a solid keeper are killing us. These last four games we have been by far and away the better footballing side in all of them but just are lacking that important clinical edge to our play. I'm not advocating a managerial change at this stage by any means, but its just all very worrying that it appears Roberto doesn't have the ability to turn us into the side we all felt we were going to become two years ago. It's all just quite sad. Days like that win at OT, the dismantling of arsenal, and that lovely feeling of actually looking forward to watch us all seem so far away!

Here's hoping that things quickly change and the boys deliver a much needed 6 points next weekend to make it a enjoyable Christmas!
