Roberto Martinez discussion

“We’ve got to improve, that’s the top and bottom of it.

“We have got loads of exciting players who give us so much on the pitch but we’ve got to improve our game management.”

Baines has confirmed that Everton spent part of last week working on defending set-pieces but admits they will have to do more.

“Nobody is getting anxious when balls come into the box but we worked on it during the week,” he said.

“It got to the point where we had to touch on it and so we did some work on it but unfortunately we conceded again and is something for us to work on.

“You miss people like Jags who go and put their head on things but we have other guys who are just as capable.

“It is something we are going to have to go back and work on.”

well yes, if we are now then we will see the difference in the coming weeks. martinez has a quote knocking about on not needing to from whoever he said it and it has been one of our weaknesses this season. your man representing the other team on here said before a ball was kicked they aren't a set piece team so we didn't see this training in effect.

I'm not knee jerking like my first point made, we are improving but it's the same weakness that we do need to work on and drill into our game. It's great that we are now working on it, but we would have been better off league wise 4 weeks ago if we had then.

Last season we were struggling to string 2 or 3 passes together and it did get to a point around this time last year where we just didn't look like we could win. You can't aim that at us this season. We look like we can win and in my opinion, our performances against Norwich and Palace especially should have seen us win, missed chances were very much our undoing.

Our recent run of results aren't good enough, but our next win looks to me like it's just around the corner if we can cut out silly errors.

I thought he got his tactics OK in the first half if Kone knew how to shoot at goal, stupid pen Tim again glued to his line - 2nd half another poor performance is it because Barry tires?
Robles has to get a game to see if our defence is more confident with him - Look at their Keeper dominated his box we had to make our goals - they are a very fast side!

then to be fair what is the point in having an opinion about your club then?

can't say we don't work on set pieces because I haven't seen training , despite us not scoring off them and conceding off them? Can't we say anything about the defence then? Or the goal keeping or coaching? or tactics?

doesn't leave much then does it?
Word if warning, be careful he will vault you on sonething you said about Joel Robles to prove you're wrong about Martinsz because the sheep will throw a like his way.

Who's not grateful?

After already having claimed the "3 points off 5th place", the "in a semi final", the "neutrals most entertaining team" and the "not as boring as Michael Owen" trophies this season i'm as happy as you are.

Just think we could do with a few flags and banners to communicate that fact at the ground, just think of the platitudes we'd get if we did that as well.

Maybe you could write out a 24 line poem about Martinez and put it on the side of Goodison next to his mural.

Poor

Hurry up and get banned again.

Thanks.

Three things :-

  1. Don't play the ref
  2. Check the exact spelling of usernames before even thinking about playing the ref
  3. Take a couple of days off for wasting my time

Hey hoppers - this be some Class A game yo.

Could be a lengthy corner. Seen our January fixtures?
