To date, Martinez' Everton has underperformed.

Great first season, despite the last minute bottle job. 10th last season, just. We're 10th now.

Our team last season, and team now is better than 10th.

If your content with 10th, your accepting that our ambition has regressed under Martinez.

The manager isn't getting the best out of his players.

The season isn't over yet - a lot to play, but he has to get his team to find consistency.

The next 7 weeks are crucial.

Over to you, Bobby lad.

Its almost as though Martinez reads this forum...

Did it really echo what you posted though?

You're emphasis was on points and that league position is not up to standard; his emphasis was on quality of performance and development of a group of players...though conceding ultimate satisfaction comes with taking the three points.

To me he's spot on as he's indicating the rebuilding of this squad this season and its potential for season's to come.

Come on Bobby, lead us to a superb 3-4 loss today at home to Leicester.

It will be the greatest victory since liverpool beat Real Madrid after losing 0-1.

Noted political scientist David Runciman writes persuasively in the London Review of Books that Bobby's improved management of our talented group of young players is directly related to his improved management of his thinning barnet.

Last season the Everton boss Roberto Martínez was clearly troubled by his incipient baldness – subject of much ribald commentary on Match of the Day – and couldn’t decide how to wear what was left of his hair. His players also seemed to lose their way. This season he has gone for a much more confident, sleekly close crop. His team have rediscovered their mojo at the same time.
