Roberto Martinez discussion

I thought there was abundant desire to thrash Norwich yesterday and it is amazing it didn't happen. If we walked out of that first half three or four up absolutely no one would have complained.

How many games under Moyes could you have said the same, away from home too?

Instead we didn't take our chances and they got a crucial early goal second half and the momentum changed. It's probably the best league in the world so this stuff is going to happen, my concern is that we didn't really look like taking control of the game again from the 48th minute, our confidence sapped.

But then after I've finished with my post match feelings of pissed off I put it in context and appreciate it's a young team and there's hopefully much more to come from them. I'll give them that time and hope they do the same for us. It's been twenty years since we won something, I can afford two more.
Bang on.

I'm also looking forward to not bottling a semi in a few weeks too.

@GrandOldTeam shut the forum down, discussion and opinion is no longer allowed. I'm worried though as I haven't played FM or even CM for about 10 years. So I'm really worried what derogatory term this intelligent so n so would call me. ALL OPINIONS OUT
No mate, just counter the arguments you're getting back if those opposing your stance are so, so wrong.

But you see? They're offering reasonable opinions.

Best close the door on the way out mate, and only listen to those professional pundits for opinion.

I've already said it's the wannabe managers who don't have opinions they KNOW what he should do

Bit like him not bringing Kev on against Palace and certain posters being 100% adamant that it would have definitely won us the game

Can't stop laughing at you hating Martinez. I honestly didn't see it coming.

Nice try. *goes to find thread again of chico calling for Moyes return last season...*

Martinez is the right man for the job but we need to start climbing the table. Another placing like last season with our best side for a very long time then you have to ask questions...

Your shout of next seven weeks yesterday is alarmingly true the more I think about it.

February on here could be ace.

So you can have an opinion, but not one that's too assertive? Interesting view mate. Maybe if they prefix everything with "I'm not a certified football coach but..."

Would that be ok then?

What if we win the league cup and finish 9th

Inexperience? How many games have they played now? Coleman's been here for 5-6 seasons, Stones is now an established centre-half, Mori (Can send a long ball but that's about it) has played top flight in Argentina and has played internationals, and Galloway - although he didn't play yesterday, but Baines DID - has played the

NO excuses.
i don't think he is giving excuses all he is doing is giving factual information
If you look at the back 4 since Jagielka was injured our only experienced player is Colemen, the remainder are still in their early development years .
Stones is still learning but no doubt a superb talent
Galloway still a baby in footballing circles
Mori is playing in a new country with football being at a completely different tempo, so still learning and adapting

Surely you can see this

It still doesn't excuse some of the basics these seem to fall short off
