Roberto Martinez discussion

Anyone on here who believes they know better than a fully qualified seasoned premier league manager IS a FM playing ferret

Every day it's mutants telling us how he should be doing this that and the other in training, he should bring on x,y,z during the match, he needs to alter his tactics and coaching methods
@GrandOldTeam shut the forum down, discussion and opinion is no longer allowed. I'm worried though as I haven't played FM or even CM for about 10 years. So I'm really worried what derogatory term this intelligent so n so would call me. ALL OPINIONS OUT

These draws could become a problem not just in the sense of the missed points but because of the confidence issue, they are not kicking on everyone expect.

The biggest danger is the team breaking up by pushing for transfers, if that happens at the end of the season then I'll be lamenting these draws as much as anyone, that's quite some distance away yet.

Saying that the next seven weeks (as someone astutely pointed out yesterday) are big because it encompasses the festive period and a tough January in the league, two semi finals in the League Cup and two rounds of the FA Cup.

You could have our season defined by the end of January. Let's talk then.

AFAIC the doubt's already crept in. We has a thread t'other week about the next seven games. Just about everyone thought we'd win most of them. I don't think we've won one since that thread. All this unbeaten garbage is exactly that, because our placing hasn't improved; if anything it's got worse.

There has been no desire to thrash teams like we did sunderland. As soon as the opposition show a bit of fight we're knackered. The goals we've scored have mainly been through second balls & rebounds going our way rather than incisive footy.

I'm not convinced by this side, and they're not convinced of themselves. This lack of conviction WILL see transfer requests being made.

Please don't resort to name calling

Know the players well do you?

Idiot

I thought there was abundant desire to thrash Norwich yesterday and it is amazing it didn't happen. If we walked out of that first half three or four up absolutely no one would have complained.

How many games under Moyes could you have said the same, away from home too?

Instead we didn't take our chances and they got a crucial early goal second half and the momentum changed. It's probably the best league in the world so this stuff is going to happen, my concern is that we didn't really look like taking control of the game again from the 48th minute, our confidence sapped.

But then after I've finished with my post match feelings of pissed off I put it in context and appreciate it's a young team and there's hopefully much more to come from them. I'll give them that time and hope they do the same for us. It's been twenty years since we won something, I can afford two more.

Best close the door on the way out mate, and only listen to those professional pundits for opinion.

I didn't win anything on FM for 2 seasons and I was sacked, why should Martinez get any longer
