Roberto Martinez discussion

I understand what you are saying. Not winning games when you dominate long periods is worrying. However I would much rather be playing really well and dropping points than scraping results.
It is hard to believe the team that couldn't string 3 passes together can play the way we play at times this season. We are inconsistent, we now need to produce the high level we can reach for two halves.
This is one of those good times to be an Evertonian.

Indeed......it is a great time to be an Evertonian.

And there is nowt wrong with me, the rest of the fans or the players that a victory wouldn't fix ;)

One thing I have learned in life is that you have to make hay while the sun is shining.
That applies to football as well......when you are playing at your peak you need to be winning matches.
And not to have emerged with at least one victory from those last three games is not a good sign IMO.
As things stand right now I can't see us beating Leicester come Saturday.

2-2 draw. We will score two great goals and Leicester will score one. They will also score from a corner

The best way to play against us is get crosses in the box and watch us buckle, as much as we're good going forward we need to sort this out if we wanna achieve something....

This isn't a critique of anyone posting here, but it's worth noting there's been nearly 40 pages on this since the result. Imagine if we lose a game!

I think it shows how passionate a fanbase we have, and how we all can see that there's something special growing but it's frustrating not seeing it bear fruits.
We can all see the BASIC problems the team has and they all land at the managers door, he seems incapable of sorting them out.

You know, now the dust is settling I am starting to direct my ire toward the other end of the pitch.

We would have been over the hill and far away if Rom and Kone had buried a couple more of those chances that came their way in the first half.

That's where I am mate. Maybe I'm just numb to us being crap at the back but we had more than enough chances today to win. And against Palace.

And are we that bad at the back? Can't recall Howard having masses to do. Did they have 2 decent chances all game? That's not that bad.

Or quiet a few of our fanbase are moist vaginas developing a horrible case of geordism

Like a striker not being able to put it in the back of the net more than once today?

I agree there are management issues, but there are also player issues. It's a group effort, to pin it on Martinez, whilst him being responsible for the club, is unfair.

With the chances the players are missing it really shouldn't matter how many we let in.
We can't rely on creating that many chances every game. It's evident that we don't practice it from the amount of goals we concede from set pieces. It's a major blind spot of Martinez's and it's costing us points.

Don't get me wrong mate, we are crap at defending them.

Just think for the last two games blame can be elsewhere. Just for a change.

Major problem with us now is that even when 1,2-0 up etc the opposition feels its still in the game even if were battering them as they know we can concede stupidly easy goals
