Roberto Martinez discussion

Its going to be very hard to get in a top keeper in Jan...we also need a left winger and backup for Lukaku.

where there's a will, there's a way...where there's no will, there be no Champions League football next season.

failing to identify the keeper as our weakest link is the responsibility of the manager...another nail, as it were.

We would be a great team if a game was for 45 minutes but over 90 we are not so great.
Thank goodness we have rom because if we didn't we would be in big trouble.
I wonder if roberto will now take corners a bit more seriously and while your at it roberto get the players fit enough to compete for a whole game.

Our defence is poor, they can't deal with crosses and corners, so we are always likely to concede in a game of 90 minutes. The team isn't as good as some people think it is, the mid-table finish will be what the team deserves. If you are going to talk about the team being in development, then you need to accept that there are things that need improving and that the current crop of Kone, Cleverley, Barry etc aren't good enough. The unfortunate reality is that the team needs a considerable amount of further investment just to be able to keep hold of the big names we do have. Without the investment, the mid-table finishes will continue.

dave, I'm not going to read that. All you've done is motivate me to find a plugin that will allow admins to use the ignore feature. Frankly, I find it astonishing we're denied that right.
Ha Ha.

Seriously though, you might be pissed off right now and frustrated but you surely see the massive progress being made here with this squad and the quality we play with?

We're putting the hard yards in now and trying to win while Martinez is laying down the template that will dictate our style for years to come.

Even now this season we've achieved targets. There's no question about that.

I'm @GrandOldTeam88 on it.

Back on topic.

Martinez though. Have we ever been so poor as a club at attacking and defending corners?

That's because Barca don't like corners that is.

We've been cack on taking corners for ages, it's not a new thing under Martinez.
As for defending, no, we're p poor.

That's great, well done.

I don't see your point like in response to the below;

Despite your counting, most in today's squad were brought in by Moyes.

Which ones would you say contributed the most to at least getting the point? I'd say Lukaku, Del, Kone, Barry and possibly Cleverly.
