Howard has proven he's not good enough - Joel hasn't had that chance - to me it's a no brainier - persevere with failure or take a risk

It takes a bit more time with keepers and they can be destroyed if they're not fully ready.
Playing him every week might not have worked out.
Maybe this is good management which we could see the benefit of next season.

Must be tough on him, comes in and does well but knows he will go straight out again. Martinez must be making plans to replace Howard, if he planned to replace Howard with Robles then you would think he would be starting more games. Plan must be to bring in a new first choice keeper. Or keep Howard until he is 50.

Yes he just needs to catch the ball more instead of punching it

but he did very well today.

Have you seen how far he punches it though, his confidence is building from this cup run, they had quite a few shots tonight, he did very well, his distribution is good too

Was of the opinion before that it was irrelevant as they are both liabilities. That hasn't changed too much- but now it's Robles just over Howard for me. Not going to happen though- no matter how well or badly either keeper does, Howard will play league games and Robles in the cup.
