Yeah, but look at some of those reviews.

"Graphics crap. 0/10" etc etc. There are a LOT of those (and the whole pool is just over 1000 reviews)

More indicitave is the steam reviews, which have over 12000 and are 'mostly positive'

Metacritic used to be useful, but now can only be compared to IMDB for 'user review acuracy'
 
Oh, one thing I noticed that I thought was a nice touch, when I created my character, I named him Wyatt. After coming out of the vault and encountering Codsworth (whatever the robot butler is called) he called me by my chosen name. Not a generic 'sir' or 'master' but 'Wyatt' I wonder how many names they voiced to do that......

I actually prefer the combat in 4 than 3 or new Vegas, handles closer to a proper shooter.

I do t mind the change in how VATS works either as I found totally freezing the combat makes it too much like a cheat mode
 
It's also really handy to download the pit boy app onto your iPad and link it to your game. It allows everything you can do in the in game menu, but I've been leaving my iPad on my coffee table using the map function as a live map tracker, saves loads of hassle going in and out of the map

Yeah, a really good feature, IMO. An actual useful companion app.
