Computer games.

Agreed about Fallout 4's graphics, substandard for 2015... no two ways about it, even looks like arse on the PC when maxed out.

Not really feeling the game either, too much like Fallout 3 and the combat is still awful as is the AI.

Love the theme though, just wish different developers made it... bethesda are sloppy as hell with regard to bugs and stuff being generally broken.

From the videos its looks like Fallout 3, will end up giving in but the videos are not doing it for me, will have to stop watching them as they will put me off the game soon. Buidling a house is the only new feature that looks good.

I have seen a couple of interesting bugs on reddit/imgur, but in my 5 hours with it last night, I didn't have a single glitch or bug (go me!!!).

And really, I think it looks great. Games don't have to look hyper-realistic to be playable.

What on earth were you expecting? It is essentially still the same game engine. And I wholeheartedly disagree about combat. I think it works just fine. Took me a little bit to get used to the new VATS and perk system, but I am getting there.

I don't want it to look realistic, it just looks dated and a bit 'budget'.

Exactly what i got, a lazy sequel with the same flaws Fallout 3 had.

Glad you like it though.

Hope they get a new engine for the new skyrim sequel. Even the elders scroll online looks garbage comapred to the FF online.

The witcher has raised the bar now

It won't be a 'Skyrim sequel', it will be The Elder Scrolls VI. I didn't like ESO as it ended up being an actual MMO. I wanted it to be Oblivion/Skyrim, but online.

Really, that is all that matters. If you like the game, play it. If you don't like it then don't!

Put a good few hours into fallout yesterday and I really like it.
It was good to bring out my inner kleptomaniac again after spending hours rumaging through debris for ashtrays and broken fans lol

No, the graphics are not the sharpest and I had a few animation glitches and unsynced voices (nothing game breaking), but if you are a fan of the series you'll love it. If not, I highly doubt it will win you over.

Also, dat crafting system tho?

Not sure why people are hating on fallout.

The visuals are impressive for such a big open world game. The characters can look a bit outdated next to The Witcher but that's about it. But standing and looking over the desecrated horizon is ace.

The presentation and audio is top notch. The story gets better and better. They've actually made non Vats combat playable for once and they've added some really well thought out new mechanics, like the base building.

It's everything I've been waiting for and I love it. It's more fallout. If you like fallout then you will like fallout 4. Just give it a few hours to get going / for you to get settled.

Haven't played it yet, waiting on currys to giver me some money.

But reading the review and opinions of Fallout, i get the expectations being high but hasn't bethesda just gave people what they want? People demanded a new fallout game and they have it, completely new built world for them to explore and made by the main team. It isn't really over the top but lets be honest here, the fans just wanted a new game. It isn't like Skyrim where they could go away for years and just develop it the best they could.

On a side note, is three dog back?

Just to add, people playing fallout for eye candy are like people driving a car so they can listen to the radio.

Fallout is about the story and the gameplay. It's one of the last true role playing experiences. Whilst looking good is desirable, the focus users have on graphics over substance is what's led to most AAA games being beautiful but having the depth of a paddling pool.

Agreed.

Same people would say Chrono Trigger is crap because you can't shoot photo-realistic Nazis in first person mode in it.
