1. Maintaining a team that secured our highest ever PL points tally, McCarthy and Mirallas new deals and John Stones.
2. Gerard Deulofeu.
3. Tom Cleverley.
4. Aaron Lennon.
5. Points 2,3 and 4 will all settle in well. No Eto'o/Distin style disruptive characters.
6. Mori - Haven't got a clue, bt I can comfortably assert that he's better than what we had last season in Sylvain Distin, and Antolin Alcaraz. The fee is a record fee for a defender, and looks to be the biggest risk transfer in PL history for Everton in that it's a big fee, for someone who want compete for a place from the off, and a player from a poor league.
7. Youth: Leandro Rodriguez, Mason Holgate and David Henen. Always good to see.

Plenty of positives, but we've not strengthened our starting 11, I'd say several league competitors have.

The failure to bring in a decent striker (If Lukaku gets an injury we've had it) and crucially, someone to make it tick in that final third which the manager identified as the primary target is poor and demonstrates a real lack of ambition to progress.
Holgate could in the future be seen as the best signing of the above.Being on the bench for the Derby is a good sign he is showing well in training as well as in the -21s

Not a bit, looked like he got beat by Flecther to the vast majority of balls. The goal obviously stands out. Been impressed with Mori just feel Van Dijk is a better all round player in general.

His aerial ability is the one thing which has stood out. Yes, he got beaten in the air for Fletcher's goal but that may well be the first header he hasn't won in six games. He's strong and attacks the ball brilliantly. Our 1st goal on Sunday came from him attacking the ball from a Sunderland goal kick, ball went straight to Kone who then lobbed it over the Sunderland defence

Fletcher is well known for his heading ability though...losing one header in a game against him is no major worry.
