All players who had bids submitted stayed, all players in are permanent and not loans.
Jesus I hope he doesn't play too well or we know what Barca can doI count you as one of my co-mega Deulofeu fans. I genuinely believe this lad has the abilities to make it to the top top football echelon. That Everton has him on their books still has me shaking my head. As you say, 'once Everton has touched you...'
Mind you, to support Everton, it helps to be a little touched ...lol
Love it. Am I the only one who heard the white stripes song in my head when reading that. Be like a squirrel. Rise likely salmon naiz, rise like a salmon. Oh uh oh.lol...much as Naismith gives me eye ache watching him ruin our attacks, I really like him as a person. He would have died inside to be sent to Delia land. When he next 'graces' our home pitch, I hope Goodison ebulliently shouts out in defiant unison:
RISE LIKE A SALMON NAISY!!!
Stones walking out of the pitch at Goodison Park on Saturday week and putting in a matchwinning performance, Mourinho sulking on the touchline as the fans sing out the Stones song; then afterwards hearing the likes of Alan Shearer on MOTD saying "I was dead wrong on this. Everton have not only showed their class, they've showed they have a real vision for the future, and I applaud them for that."
1. Maintaining a team that secured our highest ever PL points tally, McCarthy and Mirallas new deals and John Stones.
2. Gerard Deulofeu.
3. Tom Cleverley.
4. Aaron Lennon.
5. Points 2,3 and 4 will all settle in well. No Eto'o/Distin style disruptive characters.
6. Mori - Haven't got a clue, bt I can comfortably assert that he's better than what we had last season in Sylvain Distin, and Antolin Alcaraz. The fee is a record fee for a defender, and looks to be the biggest risk transfer in PL history for Everton in that it's a big fee, for someone who want compete for a place from the off, and a player from a poor league.
7. Youth: Leandro Rodriguez, Mason Holgate and David Henen. Always good to see.
Plenty of positives, but we've not strengthened our starting 11, I'd say several league competitors have.
The failure to bring in a decent striker (If Lukaku gets an injury we've had it) and crucially, someone to make it tick in that final third which the manager identified as the primary target is poor and demonstrates a real lack of ambition to progress.
If Jags or Stones get injured though, we'll expect him to slot in right away, and its more likely than not that they won't both play all 34 of our remaining games.i think the fact he has a couple of years until jags declines means he has plenty of time to settle making it less of a risk compared to say pther big signings like bilyaledtinov and fellaini who had to go straight into the first team and hit it from the off.
Anyone who doesn't say Deulofeu is mad
