Tim Howard

Tim has greatly improved on last season's pathetic excuse for a season and I think when he takes a look at that goal today he's going to have to hold his hands up and say that's his to claim.

Terrible non decision to simply walk forward 4 yards and pluck the ball out of the air. The West Brom one was just about forgivable as at least that had a bit of pace on it bit that one today was bloody awful.

Might be an idea to pop Ross on a post or tell him to sod off out the box as he's been done twice now not getting tight to his man.
Or tell Tim he is allowed to punch or catch the ball from crosses!

Definitely Joey. I think it's criminal that a keeper of his experience isn't confident enough to come out and control AND dominate his 6 yard box at the very least.

It's nothing new though and he's not suddenly going to change and I can't see Martinez blaming him so the odds are it will happen again.

Howard's refusal to leave his line for crosses of ANY KIND has cost us a lot of points in recent years. He clearly believes corners are nothing to do with him - God only knows what the back 4 must think! I am baffled by the media love-in for him, he has needed replacing for some time now but there is no sign that RM is unhappy with him, sadly.

Oh, and Ross needs taking off corner duty: stick him on the half-way line!

Problem is, when he does leave his line and come for the ball he gets it all wrong! Witness trhe complete cock up in the last minute or so against West Brom when his misjudgement saw him stranded 8 yards off his line with all our defenders having to make do without a goalkeeper between then and the goal.
