SSN are quoting the newspapers on this one saying we are to sign him today according to the press.
Also talking about Moyes wanting Spurs to drop the price on Bentley, which I'm not overly enthusiastic about.

As for Defour , I want him meself , but despite mentoning him loads , he just said nah . This could change , and things are moving quickly at present , but Im not hopeful . As for Mout , as I said yday , only if Toccy drops the Euro millions . All of it .

Heitinga is a quality player from what ive seen in la liga and with holland, think of the difference between him and hibbert technically, he,ll make a massive difference, no more of the inevetable long punt forward as soon as the ball is played to our right full. Him and piennar on the right, baines and billy on the left, please make this be true.:)

I really really hope this one comes off. If we ended up with Billy, Distin, Heitinga and Banega. For me it would be one of the most successful windows ever!

Here's another update:
"He moved to Atlético Madrid at the end of the 2007/2008 season for a fee of €10 million. Currently being linked with a move to Everton for £5.7 Million[4] It is thought David Moyes flew to Holland following Everton's Europa League tie against Sigma Olomouc. Terms have been agreed, however the hold up is due to Everton want to pay installments over a period of 24 months, to Atletico's dislike."

He's also pretty good in the air. Wouldn't be surprised if he was as big a goal threat as Lescott from set pieces
