Confirmed Signing Aaron Lennon

He was alright for us last season, I think his impact was exaggerated somewhat.

Always concerning too, that when someone is naming his attributes, inevitably the first one used is "works hard". Not really what I predominantly look for in a winger.

That being said, for a reasonable fee, it will be a decent signing.

Sick of this, like.

For one people are forgetting how much better Coleman played with Lennon. That helps our overall attacking play no end.

And he still got 2 goals, an assist and won a pen too. So he didn't exactly do a Downing. But mainly, he improves the team. People get so caught up in stats they forget that it's a team game, and if you asked Coleman what he thought of Lennon, I'd bet anything he'd rave about him.

Fab player and is desperate to play for us. Fell for him big time last season after being distinctly unimpressed when it was announced.

Feel sorry for him as whether people are happy about him coming or not depends entirely on if we sign someone else too.

The only issue I have with Lennon is that he will be 1st choice but I would prefer him being 1st choice rather than Cleverly to play with either Mirallas or Deulofeu.

It's a stop gap for a couple of seasons until Bobby can build a decent transfer kitty to replace both him and Mirallas.

I didn't mention stats once. And I said it would be a decent signing. I'm just not buying into some people's theory that he was the sole reason we had a upturn in form towards the end of the season.

I wonder if he will manage a smile when holding the shirt or just put 2 fingers up.........

signifying 2nd time around ?

Lennon for McGeady is a no-brainer, if it can happen. It takes McGeady about 15 minutes to get from one end of the pitch to the other, the fat lardycake.

I agree. We can't lose Nais without another central attacking player in though.

The only thing I really fear is where are the goals coming from?

Lukaku (15)
Mirallas (8)
Deulofeu (5)
Barkley (6)
Lennon (5)
Barry(2)
McCarthy (2)
Besic( 1)
Oviedo (2)
Baines (4)
Jags (4)
Stones (2)
Coleman (5)

That gives us 61 goals which would probably see us finish around 5th or 6th. Which would be OK but I think that's definitely best case scenario with each player.

We could have used Yarmolenko's goals.

LOL

Love the way you think Barry will score 2.

He can barely lift his leg to pass these days.

I did say best case scenario. Barkley is only on 6 so maybe he might get more.

Although you would like to think a midfielder who plays every minute would chip in with 2 goals.

You missed out Rodriguez (25).
