Knocking round on CK2, particularly a mod called after the end, places you in the Americas post apocalypse with a random swirl of religions and a massive map.
Started off playing far East as you can get, did alright for myself in taking over the Kingdom e.t.c. expanded SW as it offered the path of least resistance with pagans that I could war on for whole duchies at a time. Picked up the odd county in Canada as I went.
Finally conquered the majority of New England which had been pagan, only for English armies to come from across the seas, about 10x bigger than mine.
I was basically the purple on the map + bits of the red.
They took the bottom half of the purple oh so easily, got absolutely creamed and so I figured rather than get annihilated I'd offer my fealty to them and bring them down from within, using them as a springboard later on in the game.
Slowly took back most of the land within the Empire so it's mine.
I now own 90% of the Empire
Should be easy enough to wipe them, but one issue.
My army size.
Their army size, Event spawn OP.

Ouch! That happens a fair bit doesn't it? AI seems to often get events that spawn huge armies just when they need them!
What do you think techie guys?

Best waiting for someone who knows their stuff a bit more to chime in but I will say Vibox and Scan are good for reasonably priced gaming PCs so you're probably not far off getting what you're after.

This one I can answer, go for a PC.
Steam Box seems like a good idea in theory but I think it'd just be infinitely easier to go with a PC. Especially from a troubleshooting perspective.
