John Stones transfer saga

Does he still thinks are a bigger club than us !!
The idiot !!
I'm not condoning what he said but I still have a lot of respect for him. If you knew what the conversation was about you'd understand - particularly when you consider he was siding with me after a typical knee-jerk response from Porky Parry! (It was nothing to do with us or Chelsea)

I still don't think Stones would have heard it.....there were thousands of people letting the players know what they thought of the first half display.

It sounds very loud to us because the berk was right beside the phone.

We will never know of course, but I still think it highly unlikely John would have heard it.

And as for looking up, it could have been anything which caught his eye.

Actually there was a bloke last night posted that he was stood right behind the culprit.

I can't recall who it was but if he happens to read this exchange, perhaps he would let us know if he thought the outburst was loud enough to carry that distance.

I don't think it matters if he did hear it. He will also have heard the raptures of applause when he touched the ball in the first half.

You can't hand a transfer request in and not expect to upset a few people, he'll know that.

He was crying because he realised how much his wages are going up.

Nothing more.
You do realise that Everton benefit financially when a player submits a transfer request? Has it not occured to you that the club were waiting for it? It's about time some of us took our heads out of the sand. It's his job, he's not a fan. Good luck to the boy if he can up his wages and stand more of a chance of playing at the highest level.

Get a grip.

Mate I love @GrandOldTeam

Leave it out yeah?

I understand why people are upset with Stones. However Im following Bobby's lead on this along with @davek 's but not Kenwright or the boards.

In that this is also about Everton showing we can go toe to toe with bullies if needed.

Our club went through the trauma of Rooney. There's many who won't take that happening again.

Leave what out ?

I was on a plane to Ireland from Heathrow the night we beat United in the '95 Final.

Martin Keown was on the plane a few rows in front of me.

Arsenal had lost a European final to a freak goal and I started singing "Nayim.....from the halfway line" to the tune of the Pet Shop Boys song as I passed him en route to the bathroom :(

To this day I recoil in shame and embarrassment every time I think if it :(
He probably thought you supported Spurs
