Haha. Nope, a VW Golf is the best one I can choose from. I'm in the bottom category!

Yeah there's a lot to consider.

If I wanted to include unlimited private miles, then it'd cost me another £3,000 a year. Reimbursing the company works out a lot cheaper and you only pay the mileage at cost (more or less), which is the case whether I take a company car or the car allowance. But yeah, tyres, servicing, insurance, MOT, tax is all included in the cost.

If my calculations are correct, I'd roughly lost out on over £530 a month if I took the company car instead of the car allowance. Put MOT, insurance, servicing and tax in to the equation and it's only about £1100-£1300 a year, (insurance will increase slightly as I'll have to declare it as Class 1 business use). Tyres about half that as I only buy Michelins brah and they last forever.
I massively, massively overestimated how much a company car would cost me. Works out roughly the same price as leasing. A mid range VW Golf is what they're offering, but the flash [Poor language removed] in me wants an Audi A3, which would only be slightly more expensive, but then I've got the risk of damage etc...

Alternatively I could just keep the car allowance and keep running my 10 year old Focus, which isn't a bad car by any means. So the choice really is new car or more disposable income.

Don't know what to do FFS.
