I don't suppose anyone was at White Heart Lane October 11 1958? Spurs 10 Everton 4?!
My Dad was mate,I think one of our players Jimmy Harris got a hat trick too,my old man told me there was an American TV Cop show on the telly at the time and they would always sign off 10-4,apparently the Kopites used it for months to get a rise out of the blueslol

I sit right by the same Jimmy Harris in the Upper Bullens stand, he sits with his grandson.

I remember the good times and bad times since 1948, relegation was hard to take for a ten year old boy.

I remember the sheer magic of going into the boys pen for the first time, just loved looking at an almost empty Goodison
Park and thought I was in wonderland, brilliant, then watch it slowly fill up, the crescendo of noise as the team's appeared,
never ever forgot that feeling, getting promotion at the same time as Liverpool were getting relegated, them staying down
for EIGHT years, just loved that.

Then loads of barren years until Kendall constructed his marvellous team, but also remember Kendalls opening spell when
he drove thousands away from Everton, gates down to 15-16 thousands.

The last time we won the cup under Joe Royle, great day singing " always lol on the bright side of life" to the Mancs
great days with hopefully a few more before I go to the Royal Blue heaven or maybe the Red Hell!!

I can tell you now I am not bad, nearly 70 but not that dicrepit!:)

Just checking in with you old boys to make sure your tickers are holding up with all the transfer excitement?

Yes only 15,000 allocation for the 1966 Fa cup final - tickets were hard to get yet the touts cleaned up - those programme tokens were a pian as you always seem to lose one token!
also it was a raffle any way for a complete set no guarantee of getting a ticket?

Yep, I was at evry round home and away but could not get the big ticket.

What cheek, us Oldies have been through more transfer excitement that you have had hot dinners. Back in those days it was very different like Harry signing up a certain player in the back of a car or at a Mway service station then it hitting the papers the next day.

Get your bonce back down to your rice crispies.lol

Wow, such hostility from these old fellas, a full bed pan will do that to a man I suppose.

Will come back and routinely check on you guys.

If it wasn't for the fact that all the mods are over 60 I'd tag some of them in for some assistance here
We might be old, but have had the pleasure of trophies from 1963 onwards, feel sorry how it is today for the younger fans as for transfers - especially the Catt - Alex Scott deal to Spurs was agreed on his way down the Cat , and the club Secretary intercepted him by train exchanging and offered him more, and Rangers more the next day you read it all in the paper in amazement different days, but exciting ones!

I'm your age (more or less) and a US blue from about 2007 or so. Carry on. Enjoying this.

Wish I had something to contribute, but don't. Remember the times, but not the footie.

edit: question - anybody around old enough to remember an FA cup game between Everton and ManU on Valentine's Day 1953 - the day of my birth? The blues won before a jampacked Goodison, according to the game records.
