I think that is incredibly stupid, we're not going to have more than two or three new players I don't see how that's going to take anything away from our current squad, if anything it's worse because the squad have all worked together and have the squad as it is and then after we've already started playing games, everyone's roles are set and then brand new faces then come into it when once we have all ready started. It then makes it later into the season until those new players settle.

It's not like holding off the players go any cheaper if anything the later into the window you get the less likely clubs want to sell because those teams can't get replacements themselves. The longer we wait the more of our targets we have will be signed by other teams or re-signed to current clubs. Giving us less time to put in a plan B incase our plans don't work.

Those quotes and that mindset really annoy me.
But that's rubbish though. Just because we want to buy at this time of year doesn't mean other clubs want to sell the player we want at this time

they could be holding off selling for a number of reasons.
1) to see if they can interest any other clubs who are getting desperate towards the end of the window
2) they are looking for a replacement
3) they are working on getting an upgrade in so would be stupid to let him go before the new guy was in.
4) they are trying to deal for other players so outgoings aren't a priority yet.

It is all so sad makes you think why have i been a blue for 60 odd years, always gloom and doom. Nothing to see here people i am out of here:(

I'd be happy to see Lennon come in, and play Kev more central.

He's said before he'd love to play there, he fits the bill for that position and keeps him happy.

We'd have Pienaar, Lennon and Deulofeu for the wings, I'd be chuffed with that.

Well, we either bid for Ogbonna/Dann; didn't bid for them and allowed stories to circulate; or the headline attributed to Marty's quote doesn't summarise exactly what he meant - I'm going for the latter.

Looks like the same interview to me when reading the quotes in your article mate.

Not that it matters, managers talk a load of poop at all times, worse during windows. Let's all just wait and see yeah?

Yep, and remember that our very own manager is a highly-specialised misdirection-merchant.

I really don't understand why people thought this TV deal would be any different to the previous ones.

Every TV deal has been a record breaking deal, we spend a bit in the first few windows then it's back to sell to buy again. The TV money always ends up in the players and agents pockets.

FFS we borrow against future TV money, and people honestly believe they will provide a new stadium for us.

We are a joke.

I would like to see some truth and positivity from you today.

After Conor's performance against League 1 Swindon, he's almost like a new signing.

Plus when Hibbo, Gibbo and Oviedo are back they'll be like 3 new signings.

When Kone starts scoring that will be like a new signing

When McGeady get sold to Celtic, that will be like a new signing.
