Thought we played pretty well. Best performance of preseason.

Apart from the freekick, they weren't much.

Was a bit miffed with Lescott, he got a cracking reception but never really acknowledged it, dunno whether he was embarrassed or what but he could've put a bit more into his crowd interaction at the end.

He did.

You can read that a bunch of ways....

He just could not give a [Poor language removed] about he club and fans anymore and he's off.
Or he just took it like he normally would and he'll be playing next week in an Everton shirt, not going anywhere.

If he did acknowledge the crowd people would read it as if it was his last game and he made it into bit of a send off...

He didn't so it seems nothing is really clean cut at the moment.

The rumour in Gladys street was that Axel Witsel was in the directors box, not sure if true! would love it to be thou

Woo everythings going to be fine, we won against 8th place in the Spanish league

Lol, well i didnt want to post about how everyones tune has changed since the last game!! Like both the previous performances it is just one game, but at least it is against a better/decent level of opposition, if not anything special. No need to get carried away, but it seems like the team remembered how to play football, which is obviously a plus point! :)

Sorry mate, but not for me he didn't.

He clapped four times, Gwladys Street when training, three claps, Gwladys street Park End and Main Stand when walking off, three claps each, barely even turned to look.

Whenever his song was sang, absolutely no acknowledgement. And that is different, because every single time the song was sung last season before the game he turned to the Gwladys Street and applauded back. Did nothing this time, and I know he heard it.

I think considering that the reaction could've been very negative tonight, he owed the crowd more.

Try and be positive m8 .
What ever happens from now on in is out of our hands , but when that whistle blows for the first match , and we create yet another piece of history in the process , it will still feel good to be a blue .

The pre-season is over now , and we've all stated our frustrations , but now is the time to stand tall and say bollox to it , we're Everton and the rest better watch out . (y)

Exactly. Looked like the Everton of last season, players look sharp. Its all you want for pre-season.

The problems we have, have been there since May so it wasnt a particularly surprising or new performance.

Never, Ever, Ever, taking the kids again. Little shiiiiits.

Decent game, got very bored 2nd half, but that could have been the kids cracking.

Hey man, keep taking the kids, theyre the next generation (copyright gene roddenbery)!!

I don't want to labour the point, but the first time the St end sang it, he turned, raised both arms and clapped back, then the st end roared.
I was looking straight at him when he did it.

Peace and love, brother. (y)

Only problem tonight was the Friendly crowd. Had a family near me that consisted of the pisshead dad and his best mate, who complained about the seats, didn't know a thing about Everton (though Lescott scored cos they thought he was number 8), who went down for a pint at half time and never came back. The pissheads 4 year old son who seemed to have ADD and was determined to annoy everyone around him, and the wife who had no interest in the game and only came because her pisshead husband convinced her it was going to be a family day out.

And ok Clarkey, I must've missed that then.
