It doesn't go much further than that for me. If we do the above 3 things we'll finish in the top 8 again.

I fully agree. Of course, our Kopite hack seems to believe that just happens by Martinez going to our version of John Henry and asking him to shake the money tree.

That triple wish costs decent money to do properly due to last season's massive increase in the costs of hiring quality CBs and the premium playmakers will always be at.

@Khalekan and @deipnosophist too. Martinez certainly losing a few moderates there, a bad sign if political history is anything to go by.

Yes I would have to say I agree with you on that. I would love us to sign Deulofeu and Van Dijk. However if we could get Blackett in on loan I think that would be quite smart business.

We are going to have to do it with younger less experienced players. This won't be popular, but I would take another 9-10th finish if it meant we could bed in players like Galloway, Browning and Ledson.

Unfortunately, we have people who get out of their seats to boo a sideways pass that 'delays' a move by half a second, never mind support another mid-table season to bed players in.

Everything has to be NOW with some. We dont have cash, we dont have people in charge with ambition or a plan to take us forward; what we should be doing is, as you say, going to the one resource we do have and make that pay for us. Finishing 9th/10th/11th rather than 6th/7th? Makes little difference to me, but it apparently gives many a feeling of great pride to get nearer the CL top table to sniff the food on offer there.

Martinez would effectively have to sacrifice his job. I'd love a cup tbh, even the Capital One. Would give Martinez a lot of breathing space and make fans more forgiving over the course of the season, as seen with our run in the Europa.
 
Okay Dave thanks for your list of outs. How about a list of the ins, of which no doubt you will be at Numero uno!

I was originally an unconvinced aka as undecided, but the month of May made my mind up especially the last game. No doubt Dave will say the May results were just unlucky.

No Ta Dave regardless of the manager I want to see our team winning games not farting around like they have for most of this season. Okay players can be blamed but RM is not blameless no matter what he stated in that last conference at FF.
