Lol wut?

Stones, in my opinion, is the best young player in England and has been a regular for what, two full seasons?

Garbutt has made about 5 first team appearances.

How's it so that they deserve to be on roughly the same?
Because when he has played he was playing already at a level that was close to Baines. I disagreed with them but there where people calling for him to replace Baines.

Appearances mean nothing. There's players bought to sit on Real Madrid's bench that are earning over a 100K a week. Having a lot of appearances at a young age unless you are Messi just means it's likely you had no-one ahead of you.

We all know Garbutt's quality. We've seen him in enough games. That's all that matters. I just think we are going to play hard ball and lose and that would be a mistake.

Why do you think the move is about money rather than game time and career progression? Haven't seen any reliable reports that he's unhappy with whatever offer he has been given, indeed all the info was the reverse.

He's played nowhere near the amount of games required to make a firm call on his ability.

Must have been watching different games to me. He's obviously got bags of potential but he's looked OK going forward and often quite poor defensively in the handful of games he's played this season. He also hits the first man with his corners just as often as everyone else.

I hope he stays, I reckon he'll be good in a few years. I definitely don't want Everton to bend over for him though and if he goes then I won't be losing sleep over losing our 3rd choice LB.

I don't want us to bend over either but I don't consider paying someone their market rate bending over.

However lets face it - nothing has changed. If he where staying we would have had this sorted a long time ago. The longer it dragged on the more power Garbutt has in the negotiations which means we've already accepted he's leaving.

At least it will be sorted one way or another soon.

Not yet lar

He's apparently been giving it large in town though

Loads of "I'd kick Bryan out of this bar if he were here"

And a fair amount of "That Bryan on GOT is a right whopper. He sits at home and listens to Cher Lloyd on his Sony Walkman and enjoys it in an unironic sense"

And, in something that I felt was crossing the line, he gave a fair few shouts of "Bryan has no idea how to season a casserole properly! And his chicken chasseur is always overcooked"

I had to leave at that point or I'd've lamped him myself!
Well well.

I couldn't believe that comment about his performances being "close to Baines" when I read it lol

This lad has practically been deified by some people on this forum.
