I understand what you're saying but from my point of view Eto and Distin have said something in Jan; hence why Eto left and Distin has dissappeared: If that were the case I wouldn't lame them. Martinez needs his p45 handing to him asap.

Quite possibly mate. Eto'o was clearly being disruptive and you don't want that.

Not a clue what Distin has done, but if he's broken club discipline rules then that's that for him. He'll be gone this summer anyway.

Martinez won't be. Probably. Rightly or wrongly.

From that mess last night I would only point at these for any credit that was due :-

Barkley
Lukaku
Atsu
Naismith (to a point)
Naismith was awful.

If Martinez hooks Naismith, one of his favs after 60mins you must know he's had a rubbish game.

Atsu was decent and I thought was unfairly hooked but it's obvious Martinez doesn't really rate him. I'm shocked he started.

Barkley needs to create more if he's going to be a "top, top player" currently he looks like an average lower league player. He has the potential but he makes too many wrong decisions, he didn't look arsed in the second half yesterday.

Lukaku and Atsu looked good though.

Just my opinion Mate, others have their's. But Barker's came pretty close last night night. If the two shots had been a few inches to the left and gone in off the post, you can imagine what the headlines would be!

Guys, I'll say this once more and leave it at that, at no point is he going to be sacked

If we're still in the mess we are come December, the supporters anger may force him to resign, but he won't be sacked

As someone mentioned earlier, they may come to a "mutual agreement" to part ways, but at no point will Bill wield the sack hammer

I did say friend "to a point"

That's my point though. He will score 1/2 in 10 or so games and people will start anging on about how he is world class, but for a CAM he creates nothing. Although I understand he is young we need someone to do it now too; like another Arteta type.

Not me.

Christmas would be way too late if this malaise carries over into next season.

Give him a go if we must.....but pull the plug no later than Halloween or Bonfire Night if things are heading south.
absolutely, can't have the chump ruining fkn duck apple night

Well he has had better performances in his lsat two games than for quite a while. Did you ever think though it is down to RM not playing him in his best position and to his ability?

Woaahhhhhhhh... no way in a hundred years was the rest of the defence "as bad" as Alcatraz. He was a different level. Thought Coleman was pretty awful but in part due to playing alongside him like. Think he was directly at fault for a couple- that with different personnel there they would not have scored 2 goals...2! I'm almost certain that with Stones there we'd be in the quarters.
Jags was responsible for 2 goals. The holding midfielders just let them walk up and shoot. Coleman was awful defensively as you said and Baines never stopped a cross. Naismith didn't track the run that lead to their 4th. There was errors all over the pitch. All night.

We where absolutely dreadful.

From what I've seen he always gravitates back to his natural position anyway when played on the wings; that being said I think he is most effective cutting in from the left ( because all he does is shoot) but I just think he is no where near the standard that Arteta was at, although he does have age on his side.

He was the only good player we had in the 2nd half. Pretty much anything that we did that was good excluding the goal went through him.
