I want Martinez gone - but I think people get wound up too much about what he says in his interviews. Of course he's not going to critisise his players publically - I'd be even more disayed by him if he did.

My biggest concern is the way we play - but also the amount of rubbish he has brought in to the club and the rubbish he's likely to bring in this Summer if he's still here (Cleverley and Lennon for starters). He has filled the squad with West Brom level players from Alcaraz to McGeady to Atsu to Lennon to Barry to Eto'o to Robles, to Kone (and despite everyone raving about him, I'm personally not at all convinced by Besic either). That's an awful lot of very very poor signings for a manager who's been in a job for only 3 windows - and that lot cost nearly £20 Million!!

Then there's the players he didn't sign - no back up for Coleman or Barkley - no replacement for Distin, Osman, Howard or Pienaar, we're stuck with one winger in most games because we don't have any credible options

The only good signings he has made have been McCarthy and Lukaku - and personally, I think we'd have been much wiser to spread the £28 Million for Lukaku around a bit more given the fact that about 10 of our squad are the wrong side of 30 - some well over it - and that is building up to a very very serious problem, very soon.

I also want to see some proof that he can pick out an un-obvious decent signing. He knew McCarthy already and every gobshite knew Lukaku and how good he was. The market we're in, we need to pull out cheap jems like we did with Stones, Pienaar, Lescott, Coleman and loads of others. This guy doesn't have that ability!

Season by season he'll be judged: last season earned him a 5 year deal; this season will earn him a sit down with the board and a reassessment of where we're going.

The trouble is that people on forums dont do season to season, they do 90 minutes to 90 minutes...as the spectacularly divergent poll results on here for Newcastle and last night's games underline very well.

What about Roberto has shown you that, long term, he's the right man when he's repeated the same mistakes throughout the whole season and showed little sign of learning/improving?

I know you used to berate Moyes for being a stubborn tit, so why not Bobby? You do realise Dave that opinions are allowed to change in the light of new information and experiences? You don't have to stick with your original opinion forever, no matter how much it looks silly and drives your reputation into the gutter.

Oh wait, now I see. You and Bobby have a lot in common. Just replace "opinion" with "philosophy".

If that's the case davek going on are PL showing he should have been gone at xmas
Why? We were 12th at Christmas. I dont see how a few months after that first season ended and we slipped to that point a change of manager was called for.

Terrible season. Get to the summer and let this manager make his changes.

This season will be a total waste if we dont allow the man at the centre of it the chance to draw on that experience and make us better for it.

You might do 90 mins to 90 mins. Like your gloating after a win against nothing to play for Newcastle

The season as a whole has been shocking.

From one 90 minute performance to another?

You're having a laugh. That says more about the poster than Martinez if someone can go from backing him to sacking him in one match. Doesn't it?

As for the problems we have: they are personnel related (needs to sort out that CD unit) and a lot to do with injuries.

No Dave, you know I don't mean that. Hence me saying:

"he's repeated the same mistakes throughout the whole season and showed little sign of learning/improving"

And I said I'd back him if he changes as we need change. He showed signs of change, I showed signs of support. He reverts to type, I get pissed off again as my hopes are dashed.

But it's fine, read what you want and spin how you do, no one is falling for your crap. You're just a poor man's Damon.

Through repeatedly using the same style of language regardless of the result and feelings of the general fan base, Martinez has turned into a caricature of himself.

He's made it difficult to support him but he should be given up to the back end of this year, assuming we have a positive flourish in the league now.

Hopefully he/the staff/players will be able to reflect on this season and learn from it.

He's had a whole season to sort out the DM unit but hasn't. He picks Barry every match.

How can any supposed Everton fan support that?

Everton will be judged in the media on PL results. Well if they were the jury they would have found him guilty then this season of gross piss poor management Dave. He's had a nightmare season which I know you will agree on because you've called him on it many times. Fair play though that you will stick by him. Regardless if I want him gone or not, barring probably 3 defeats on the spin he will be in the dugout next season. I think then it will only be a matter of time before he's volleyed out of this club mate.

I know you were in the 'In' camp, so I respect you're opinion mate. But the reason we're getting such up and down form is the reason you formerly backed him on: the form of players and the knowledge that better players for the system he plays will produce better form. That hasn't changed at all.

We can do better next season, much better. If we dont I'll be in the place you are right now. But it's crazy feverish talk after Sunday's game against Newcastle to be calling for a dismissal right now.
