Value to who in this instance? To the employee perhaps, certainly not the employer.

Well I disagree, both parties benefit when there is loyalty, continuity and long term commitments.

Of course if you believe we have the wrong employee then I can underatand your point. I happen to believe we have the right guy who will suceed with us over time.

Re: the comments about '94 - the prime difference between then and now is back then we went into the season knowing we were likely to be down with the deadmen and in a relegation battle come May.
Don't know about that. Yep we had a poor side but, as ever, we thought with a newly appointed manager we'd be up there near the top....

I think everybody has mentioned the reasons why it has been so poor this season and the reluctance of martinez to acknowledge these errors, to continue the errors and then to blame everything else apart from that which causes them. Barry might have saved this season for us by getting himself banned, I have never witnessed a manager continue with the same player playing the same way making mistakes and getting booked every game while giving away fouls leading to goals with nothing changing about his play. Every player has been poor in their decision making and playing style this whole season as if they have only just learnt to play football. When playing the ball back they hold on to it for an extra few seconds to allow their attackers to come closer to the ball while covering where the next signposted pass will be going inso gaining no advantage and putting pressure on ourselves. When passing forward half the time they dont even look where they are passing and just pass into an area they think or hope somebody will be and it doesnt reach them, very annoying. by actually holding on to the ball a little longer and looking where they want to pass would result in clearer chances for ourselves create disruption in their backlines and allow us to create the games we thrive in. As it is teams allow us to mess around make a mistake and go and punish us. To replace robles was just pure wrong which will result in his sacking or take us down. We were on a decent run and you could tell the players played with a bit more confidence. This is a game of football where people fight for positions if you take that away from your whole squad you are asking for trouble. Loyalty is fine if they are playing well but to keep playing the same poor players every week the same way is shocking. There are probably a lot of behind the scenes things going on we dont know but these are professional good footballers who lack fight and determination, that needs to change. Rotate the squad take poor performing players out { not whole 11 changes at once, lol}, bring robles back, tell lukaku no more offsides and to stay in box or bench him for a time, make the players hungry to play or if they want to leave showcase themselves which they cant do on the bench from poor displays. carrot and stick stuff. Improve colemans crosses as it can be hard for players to constantly make runs and the cross to always be poor. Why was baines allowed to take corners all season at that standard. Besic needs to stop the reckless tackles, barkley needs to find the passes, mc carthy needs to boss the midfield, defence needs to stand up and stop panicing every time. A lot needs to change or it will be difficult to find these points we need, enough with all these predictions of who we can beat or need to as this seaon has taught us we are the ones teams predict of beating. doing the same thing and hoping it will change will see a hostile goodison as the panic sets in of the annoyingly boring football we have had to watch. Sort it martinez or everton will not be yours for moulding. ETID

Every player fights for the cause mate. You can't honestly tell me the players turn up and 'cant be bothered', they give it their all, the tactics are the source of the problem. Even player like Jags who people regularly slate for a lack of effort gives his all every game. We're in a mess, but it's not for a lack of trying on the players part.
Sure not saying they don't care or aren't trying but we don't seem to possess anyone who dishes out rollickings or fires up the players during games, which is where Barry should be having an influence. It was just about Phil Neville's best trait and i can imagine the frustration for Dunc sat on the touchline.
Having said that we never had it last year either so the common denominator is confidence.

Last line on confidence is the one mate ;)

been looking at the table and upcoming fixtures and it's not looking good.

We could easily lose to QPR away and they have palace next which they could win.

It's worrying how many people think we are still safe. And you can tell the team think so too.

Kith....you have done this to death now, pal.

Your obsession with Aiden has become tedious.

Especially as he has been absent during the past few weeks when league results have taken a turn for the worse.

And for the record, I would rather have Aiden in the team than the thus far useless Lennon and the couldn't give a stuff about Everton Mirallas :p

Surely even blind faith has its genesis in reason?
