I voted for sticking with him. Its been my stance up until today, and a loss away to Stoke with an average but not awful performance hasn't really changed that.

I guess I am coming from a different starting point as when thinking about all this the idea that we may get relegated doesn't come into it for me. We are not getting relegated. Having taken that doomsday scenario out of the picture as a possibility, its a bit easier to be willing to write this league season off as a disaster and hopefully a one-off disaster at that.

When watching these god awful games I really don't find myself fuming at the boss anywhere near as much as the baffling woefulness of some of our players...or if not woeful, at least bang average and lacking any bite and anger. I really do not think any of the squad players make any difference when used, there is no noticeable change or lift in the overall cloud hanging over them so the talk of tactical and personnel change just don't grab my attention like it might normallly as I don't think it's where the problem lies. I have to repeat this over and over again but for all the complaining about the pointless and slow passing, I am 100% sure this is not what is expected from them when they are sent out on the field.

I can only assume that the squad is screwed for morale and confidence and ever since the start of the season where we came out of the blocks handing goals to the opposition at killer moments, we have failed to get any momentum going and failed to get consecutive wins for this group to lose the fear.

So having said all the above, I put it down to a one-off nightmare from the boss and the players and the cumulation of many different factors. I can't say sack the players, so I wont say sack the boss. I say sack this season, hope for a miracle in the Europa and lets see what some further changes to our squad and a regrouping of the current players can bring in the summer.

Good times and bad times. Get behind the manager and the team.

It's really as simple as that.

If everyone does it we get out of this and we get back to winning ways.
I think most are behind the team and have been all season but most are losing faith in the manager and I can understand why can you?

We will agree to disagree mate it leave it at that because as I said I respect your decision to stick by him still. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than in a few months you vaulting me and taking the piss because that would mean we've turned it around under him. I will be there next Thursday with my son, supporting the boys in Blue.

P.s I don't want him sacked, just found it quite funny.

Great season, bad season....third season God knows!e

He'll be still here though if he tirnes this around in the next couple.

The storm of kneejerking on here is an embarrassment.

You need to sort your head out. Knee jerking? Get a grip and get real. Your hero is a fraud

Correct. Nightmare season needs binning and we leave it behind and see what happens next season.

This is a time for cool heads not kneejerking.

How are we going to turn this around next season with a lesser quality squad?

Also any players who do leave aren't going for top dollar after this seasons performances.

Best squad in years and only 6 wins tells me everything I need to know.
