I'd stick with him until such a point that we were within three points of the drop with half a dozen of games left. I realise though that the Newscastle game will represent the final straw for many.

We will make a huge error if we dont retain Martinez this season. If he does get through, which I still expect, btw, then we'll be much stronger for this experience next season.

Its a massive decision but you are playing a very dangerous game waiting until we are 3 points away from the drop zone , I cant see where our next win is coming from .

Its come to a head mate his time is over.

People need to settle down and stop panicking.

Martinez isn't going to be sacked by Kenwright - there'll be no sacking when Everton are 6 points above the relegation zone.

The fume will die down and we'll move toward the EL tie with Kiev and Newcastle. Then we'll see from there.

Stop giving yourselves a heart attack. We'll get out of this with the present managerial structure in place. Have no doubt of that.

We probably will stay up, but what about next season? Do you think Bobby can feasibly turn us back into a top 4 chasing side? I personally doubt it, unfortunately. He's just too stubborn to deviate from his own philosophy; a philosophy that has been sussed out by every team in the league.

2 wingers, that's all that was needed 2 wingers if he did that I'm sure people could have of least pointed out that he tried to change it up, but he never, we never and Everton didn't create, and now its too late, its not even up for debate, over 80% of us are irate, we are like a collective modern day Andy Tate, I just hope that it isn't fate, and that us as Evertonians aren't made to wait, as that I would Hate, and I'm sure that no one wants to berate, we just want Everton to be great.

We could be 3 points off the drop this Saturday though, albeit with 10 games left.

Spot on.

The hysteria needs to be kept in control.

We'll get this together. It's horrendous, but we'll keep our nerve and do the barcodes and kick on.

Keep the faith everyone.

You mate need sending away...criminal. Absolutely bonkers lad

With all due respect, Martinez has experienced this many times before.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez: "It's disappointing as it has been a really tough two weeks. We showed that lack of cutting edge. Overall it was a pretty even game and I'm disappointed how we conceded the first goal as it is free header in the 18-yard box.

"I did feel that as a team we showed we had played a number of matches in a short period of time.

"The Europa League campaign is a bit obvious at the moment as it is a lot of games to play in a short period but as a club that is what we want, to play in Europe.

"The concern is a huge moment in the season, we have 10 games and we will treat them as finals. We are in this situation for many reasons but we are looking forward and up to get as high up in the table as we can.

"The desire and wanting for the result was there but the legs couldn't get there. We are ready to face the challenge straight on. We haven't got the results that our performances deserve.

"Everyone at the club, it's the moment to get together and make sure we finish the season strongly. We need bit of luck and momentum but it's not been that type of season."

Fair enough and I'm inclined to agree.

Genuinely perturbed about next season though.
Great season, bad season....third season God knows!e

He'll be still here though if he tirnes this around in the next couple.

The storm of kneejerking on here is an embarrassment.

I am sick and tired of people telling us to calm down, that everything is fine, that we will be fine.

You know when Newcastle got relegated a few years ago? Guess how many points they had after 28 games? 28 points, just like us right now.

That's the Newcastle that all the pundits said were too good to go down.
