Relegation Fight 2014/2015

I really dont know why people are optimistic he can turn it around. His 'brand' of football doesnt work. He took over Wigan in 2009 after they finished 11th. His first season he brought them to 16th. Second season, 16th again. Third season 15th. Fourth season....we all know. In what world does someone get such latitude? You cant use the Europe excuse, Moyes constantly had us in Europe and doing well in the league ffs.

There is something fundamentally wrong thinking that he can escape this year without being the slightest bit worried of relegation.

Don't worry lads, Martinez pulled it out the bag at Wigan time and time again- winning the last 8 games on the trot or summat like that. Watch us cruise to victory against anyone and everyone and finish a tidy 7th.

But that argument only stands if our form of late has been exceptionally bad and things aren't working. It's not like that though is it? Last 8 games we've played we won 3, drew 3 and lost two; scored 10 and conceded 7. The game against Chelsea lost was a tough one and could/should have offered a draw. No one's making these facts up. They're there and ignored because the league position is looking bad. As for 'one way of playing' etc: we play a more possession based game against teams who set up to frustrate and we rely on our counter attack at other times. You talk about 'mantras', but that 'one way of playing' stuff is more of a mantra than anything.

Unfortunately, two of those wins were in Europe against a team who played very much into our hands. Our last six league games have yielded three goals for, and five against bringing six points. Granted, a point per game from now on sees us safe, but it's hardly inspiring nor guaranteed

“I have been really satisfied that we have been to every ground with a real arrogance to our play and have played eye to eye with them."

So do I bobby; especially Hull when we got over run by one of the worse teams in the league. Oh and Newcastle when the majority of the outfield players had no idea of tactics.

Speak the truth you utter weapon. Least you'd have some dignity

Maybe our players will throw him in the air when we stay up by 1 point like they did at Wigan, it will be a phenomenal moment

Even if Bobby stays on as manager (I suggest he will), and even if we win the EL, the PL and the CL (under his stewardship), I think I will still employ my current position of not listening to what he says, as it never changes. This is not necessarily a slight toward him, it's just my personal choice.
