A lot of people still hung up on his WC heroics...btw he was US "secretary of defence", not Everton's, I would give that title to Stones if anyone on our team deserves that title.
Yeah, he has been a good #1 for the USA, just because they are a rubbish footballing nation the lot of them.

Last season mate...before Oviedo broke his ankle. The run where he scored the winner vs United when Baines was hurt. The melts were going mad that Baines immediately started when he returned to fitness.
And rightly so, players shouldnt be played on reputation or who's better on paper, they should be played on form. Thats been a big problem this year

It's hard to judge form of someone who has been injured. Howard was in horrid form prior to injury so it's a bit different, but Baines last year did nothing to deserve dropping for Oviedo.

I am after figuring it out Tim is wearing his head upside down

It doesn't work like that at any team tho, it's not just here. At Chelsea for eg costa, Fabregas, matic all come straight back in. Same at city with augero, Toure, silva etc.

True enough. I wonder if they would if they played like the Chuckle Brothers though.

What's this poo about him being unlucky for the first ffs ?

Danny Murphy on Talkspurt just alluded to personal problems off the pitch btw. If true makes Roberto's decision to bring him straight back in even worse.
