....mate, if my auntie had a knob she'd be my uncle........ At the end of the day they scored ...no excuses can change that.

So all 4 of Evertons goals were keeper error from Young Boys? This is pretty much what you are saying, we scored 4 goals and no excuse can change that right?

Right, so a lot of people could have done something differently. IF Stones, IF Coleman, IF McCarthy (doesn't slip) IF Howard. Like most events in football, the blame for the goal falls across many players not just the keeper. everyone always wants to blame the keeper though.

It's a total team game, but fans love a whipping boy.

Nah, one of them was a missed offsides. Can you imagine if Hazard had passed through Howard's legs to Ivanovic for the winner in London last week though?

If Howard wasn't terrible we probably would have conceded about 30 less goals this season.

And Americans love a poster boy.

There always has to be an American that's being massively bigged up. Last summer it was Michael Bradley.

Haven't we gone 'round this point of the discussion a few pages back?

I will say this though- I am completely a defender of keepers, American or otherwise you will see me take up for them. Too many think all we do is sit back there and either watch the ball go in or not dependent completely on our current mood.

If he was pulling off world class saves every game and hadn't conceded in 10 you'd be saying how good he is. But instead you criticise him just because he is playing crap and conceding loads.

Bad scapegoater.
Of course hes open to criticism, hes been [Poor language removed] all season. Its not scapegoating
