Im simply amazed no media outlet has broke the story or at least got a clue whats going to happen, surely they have sources to tap.

That is if it is actually true.

nothing will come of this, everyone has gotten carried away. all there has been is 1 statement which you cannot even be sure is true.

the fizz seems to have gone from this story. the complete silence and lack of interest from fleet street suggests it might not be true any club is receiving investment.

I have read all posts on 46 pages and 18 hrs later we are still no where near finding out which club it is!!!!!!

Kept very secret for some reason!!!! Someone did mention a press conference on wednesday, were you talking about Everton or the sheikhs mob????

The statement did say that there will be further information in the next few days. I assume that't what it actually means. Not really sure why people simply can't wait those extra days. The story will either fall apart or some prem club will be much the richer.

If the story is true, its likely to not be a sky4 club, or else the press would be over it like a rash. You can't really garner interest in a story when a club has not been named and nobody is talking.

Nothing to do with the deal, but when I lived in Dubai, we used to drive past this guy's palace (gardens full of antelopes, giraffes etc) to go to a 'hole-in-the-wall' semi-legal booze shop!...

Saqr bin Mohammad al-Qassimi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammad al-Qassimi (born April 9, 1918) is the World's eldest Head of State at 91. He became the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah (now one of the United Arab Emirates) on 17 July 1948,[1] when he overthrew his uncle and father-in-law Shaykh Sultan Bin Salem (or Salim) al-Qassimi in a bloodless coup. Shaykh Saqr exiled Sultan to Sharjah. He was born in Ras Al Khaimah.

Hes a young chap anyway.............

Wrong guy. The guy reported to be the takeover guy is Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr al-Qassimi.

Cant see anything happening, for one, why is an announcement being delayed for so long. Whatever club has been reported to have been took over, i would be a concerned fan as to why the takeover has yet to be confirmed. If this story is true, something has not ran smoothly, which is an Everton trait so it probably is us.

Its all Sheikh to me, cant find this dude anywhere, hes 1 of his sons then clearly.

Marcopolis - H.H. Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi

Found his brother?
I tried searching for this dude as well and found very little. He is the chairman of the port company in his emirate and some other stuff that didn't actually tell anything. I'm sure if there is anything to this story we will hear a lot more in a few days time.
