Well it's a 'Baked Corn Snack' so isn't technically a crisp, the fact that they used the word "extruded" gave me images of a paste being forced through a die (I may be way off the mark like) into the shape before baking, they didn't take us around the factory so I didn't actually see the production processes.
I know what you mean though, and in the chopped and formed sense that a lot of mech recovered chicken is used then yeah, but mech recovered chicken is more a process that gets all of the bits of chicken off a carcass isn't it ? as in the bits that would go in the bin ? whereas I don't think Monster Munch are made from the crap that would be binned.
I think they blast the chicken off with high pressure water. I can't see that being necessary with corn. I don't care, I'm eating those picked onion ones no matter what.
