Says in the peice i posted its also a leading English club, looking at whos above and below us i cant think who else it could be.
Villa perhaps? But then again, a "leading" club can mean anything.. it might still be the barcodes.

Pretty sure it wont be us.

Most likely its Portsmouth or Newcastle...you would have thought something like this would have leaked by now though.

We can live in hope!

This is probably the reason we've not had to sell big names (Lescott) and jumped in signing everyone we've been linked with. It seems to be pointing to us...

You know it's going to end up being the RS.

Can anyone find any figures about other premier league club shareholders? Might be able to whittle it down a bit.

The statement said a top prem club, that pretty much rules out the skunks, unless the investors have caught North East delusion madness as well. Given the movement in the rs finances, I would probably put my bet on them, particularly as their chair has departed and is vacant.

I think it's either Pompey, THEM or us.

However, 'leading' suggests it can't be Pompey surely?

'Premier League club' pretty much rules Newcastle out...

It could be THEM due to all this finance reshuffling that's going on over the park.

The only other suggestions would be Tottenham, who haven't been taken over? Or dare I say it...

us?

Well:

Pompey: in due dillegence with another bidder

West Ham: Have been taken over in the past week

Villa: Have Lerner (Billionaire)

Fulham: Al Fayed has said he has no intrest in selling

The [Poor language removed]: Hicks has sold one of his francises today to help him finance them.

Man Utd: Have the Glazers

Arsenal: Have two billionaires with a massive shareholding fighting for control.

Wolves: Wouldnt think so have Steve Morgan

Spurs: Maybe

Sunderland: Just taken over

Chelsea: No way

City: No way

Bolton: Why would you?

Stoke: Why would you?

Burnley: Why would you?

Hull: Why would you?

Balckburn: Why would you?

Wigan: Why would you?

Birmingham: Maybe

Of course you dare say it. But I don't believe it. It's not the first time we've been linked with a takeover, only for it not to materialize. We're not exactly "leading" either.. except for us being the "best of the rest" two years running.

I hope I'm wrong, but I seriously doubt it's us.
