Just think all the tournament experience he was will be helpful and I don't think he's completely done yet. He looked good away at Wolfsburg. Also letting Joel keep starting PL games will keep his confidence up

one could say that but that doesn't mean it is true. Keeping Joel in the prem games will keep his confidence up and allow him to develop while Howard can handle the Europa games to give him a breather. It's not as if I'm here saying Howard's amazing and Joel's cack, I just think that would be a good balance for the squad.

If the team wants to sell him I'd be fine with that. I support Everton regardless if there's any american players or not. This forum is just obsessed with extremes, there's no way RM will start Joel every game til the end of the season.

If Joel was dropped for Howard now that he's fit again I'd be disgusted quite frankly. If I were him I'd walk into Martinez's office and point-blank say to him;

"Why am I even here? You spent all last month talking about how you were looking to sign a long-term goalkeeper to put pressure on me and in response I've put in some solid performances. The team have really needed me to step up and prove myself the last month or so and I've done that, we've kept 3 clean sheets in a row. Now all of a sudden you're going to just drop me and let me rot on the bench again? No way am I accepting that now."

Wouldn't blame him one bit, the lad has earnt the no.1 spot and Howard has been abysmal all season and absolutely doesn't deserve to just have it handed back to him.

Howard is gonna walk back into the team by the looks of it! I know he's the 'number 1 goalie' and that but it's extremely harsh on Joel after a few good clean sheets, I think he should keep his place!
